Napa Valley is located about 1-1.5 hours north of the Bay Area and is easiest to access by flying into one of these 5 commercial airports: San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Oakland International Airport (OAK), Sacramento International Airport (SMF), San Jose International Airport (SJC), and Sonoma County Airport (STS). SFO definitely has the most flight options, however OAK is often more convenient and is slightly closer. There are a few options for traveling from the Bay Area to Napa Valley: - Rent a car, - Arrange a rideshare/private car service, or - Coordinate carpools with friends and family. We highly recommend booking transportation in advance, especially for airport transfers and late-night rides, as rideshare availability in Napa can be limited.
