Cancun international Airport (CUN)

Tulum is about a 1.5-2 hour drive south of Cancun International Airport. Airport transportation options are 1) purchasing a shuttle to and from the airport, or 2) renting a car. If you rent a car, check that your hotel has parking. Don't forget to pack your passport!

Airport shuttles can be booked through a variety of vendors, but we've found the most reasonable rates at the site below. Rates are $175 round trip for up to 5 people, or $190 round trip for 6-10 people (gratuity not included).

This second option is more expensive per ride, but has a coordinator that will pair wedding guests together if they share similar flight times. If you are not traveling in a large group, you may be able to split the ride with other attendees. Akiin Beach Tulum

This is the wedding ceremony/reception venue (not an option to stay). The Tulum hotel zone has several neighborhoods - Akiin is in the Boca Paila neighborhood, so that is the area to stay in if you’d like to walk home from the wedding! The wedding party will also be staying in this area, at Zorba.

Air BnB

There are some AirBnbs or VRBOs in the venue neighborhood, which is called Boca Paila. If you stay in this neighborhood, you may be able to walk to and from the venue. To search this neighborhood for AirBnBs, enter "Carretera Tulum-Boca Paila, Quintana Roo, Mexico" as the location (double check the distance to the venue before booking). Staying in the downtown area is another less expensive option, but it is ~25 min drive from the venue.

Hostel that offers inexpensive private rooms in a good location. No air conditioning, but it appears to have fans in some rooms. For any fitness buffs, it is across the street from the famous Tulum Jungle Gym. Price: Low Venue Distance: 3 min walk

Co.Bañitas Eco Hotel

One of the lower cost options, this place is made up of tiny little huts in the jungle (not located on the beach). There is no A/C, but some rooms have fans. It is located 5 mins away from where the bridal party is located, so you are welcome to come hang at the beach there! Price: Low Venue Distance: 13 mins walking

This is a less expensive option, with a classic beach shack vibe. It is on the beach and has a variety of rooms - 5 of which have A/C in the evening. We recommend getting a room with a beach view if possible, reviews seem to say that rooms closer to the jungle side of the hotel can hear the music from the bar across the street on the jungle side. This is a gorgeous 5 bedroom rental 2 doors down from where the wedding party is staying. The owners are nice people from St. Louis and gave me and Paige a tour when we walked by. It sleeps at least 12 people (maybe more), so it can be pretty affordable if you have a big group. Price: Medium to High Venue Distance: 6 min drive / 16 min walk
