As a rule you should not drink tap water in Mexico. You can purchase bottled water in shops throughout Tulum. Water served in restaurants should be safe to drink.
Tulum is primarily a cash transaction place, but most places in the hotel zone accept USD cash. Some places do accept credit card, but make sure to notify your card holder that you’ll be traveling to Mexico. USD cash is also welcome for gratuities. If you go to the Tulum city center or Tulum ruins, you will need pesos. ATMs in Tulum are not always reliable, so we recommend taking out cash before leaving the US, and exchanging a small amount for pesos at the airport. We also recommend downloading a free currency converter app so you can quickly calculate costs.
Please see the "COVID 19 Travel Requirements" tab for more details
There is no hotel block, as Tulum does not have large resorts that can accomodate all the guests. Please refer to the Travel & Accommodations tab, where there are a number of hotel options listed that have a range of prices. AirBnb also has a number of options.
The wedding party is staying at Zorba Villas, which is where the welcome party and day-after brunch will occur. Location details can be found on the Travel & Accomodations tab, and all events and times can be found on the Schedule tab.
