Estes Park is 7,522 feet above sea level. Please be aware that altitude sickness may occur at this elevation with symptoms such as headache, lightheadedness, and fatigue. Please drink LOTS of water, as well as electrolyte drinks (nuun sport and coconut water are our favorites). And be sure to pace yourself when drinking alcohol, as hangovers are worse at this altitude!
Yes!
Dogs are not permitted indoors at the lodge. Please leave your furry friend at home.
It will be winter in the Rockies. Temperatures typically range from 19-42 degrees Fahrenheit. The weather is highly variable, ranging from calm and sunny to cold and snowy. March is the snowiest month for Colorado, and it is typically windy.
A rental car is the best option. Be sure to specify snow tires in your car rental. Estes Park Shuttle does offer roundtrip services between Estes Park and DIA for $95 per person, and need to be reserved in advance.
We highly encourage taking the shuttle we have arranged for people staying at/nearby Murphy’s River Lodge, however if you must drive there will be around 50 parking spaces available at Taharra Mountain Lodge (the venue).
All planned events will be indoors except for the Hidden Valley RMNP outing on Saturday morning.
Please text or call Harry (847-946-7840) or text (but not call) Kelly (248-508-8254) with questions! Scams are rampant these days, please say who you are when leaving a message!
