Blenheim Vineyards
This is Dave Matthew's winery and where we got engaged. Pro tip to bring some snacks and enjoy the view by sitting on the outdoor patio or deck from the A-frame house, seating is first-come, first-served. Painted White is the wine we were drinking when we got engaged.
Trump Cidery
Trump Cidery recently re-opened and has a gorgeous view of the hillsides. Try the Donny Appleseed cider, it's our favorite!
Trump Winery
You can't beat the view here, we love to sit outside when the weather is nice and they have plenty of small bites/lunch to eat at the winery, seating is first-come, first-served.
Veritas Vineyards and Winery
This is a great place to enjoy the vineyard views and have bite for lunch. Rachel's favorite is the Veritas Turkey and the Rose. We recommend making a reservation and sitting outside if possible.
Black Cow Chophouse
We spent the evening after our engagement enjoying dinner here with our parents.
Bodo's Bagels
There are several Bodo's locations that you can try, they have great, fresh bagels that are steamed instead of toasted!
Miller's Downtown
This is where Dave Matthew's used to perform live music! Great place to grab a beer and listen to who is playing that evening.
Simeon Market
We have stopped here before to grab a sandwich and some chips before heading out to the wineries! The sandwiches are first come, first serve and pre-made. Rachel's favorite is the turkey, apple, brie sandwiches.
Tavola
We have both enjoyed the pappardelle ragu! It's small inside so we recommend making a reservation if possible.
Tonic
Rachel has been here with friends, their food and cocktail menus are seasonal!
The Rotunda
If you are interested in walking around UVA's campus this is a perfect central spot to start at.
Saunders-Monticello Trail
This is an easy trail to hike in Charlottesville, we brought Nola with us the last time.
Downtown Mall
There are tons of shops, bars, and restaurants to stop in here and browse what Charlottesville has to offer.
