Although the current pandemic has created much uncertainty, we will be proceeding with our wedding as planned. We will keep you informed directly if that should change as well as continue to keep our website up to date. In the weeks prior to the wedding and during travel to Atlanta, we ask that guests follow CDC guidelines and use extra caution in effort to keep all guests safe. We will be requiring masks for all guests at wedding weekend events. While we hope you choose to join the celebration, we respect if you choose to decline the invitation. We will be providing video links after the wedding for those unable to attend.
As most people know Mitch and I met through being in the band at Auburn. We first met when a friend introduced us at a party freshman year but we didn’t really talk again after that brief hello. Well fast forward one year, we both had joined one of the band greek organizations (Mitch was in KKPsi and I was in TBS) and a group of brothers and sisters had the same break in classes to meet up in Foy for lunch throughout the week. Sitting across that table eating Salsarita’s and Panda Express, we talked and got to know each other through conversations about Legends of the Hidden Temple and Penny Friends. By the end of that semester, we had been on our first date and the rest is seven years of memories.
June 22nd was a nice day to visit some breweries to celebrate her birthday, but little did Lauren know, it was also a nice day to get engaged. We spent the day venturing around Decatur, until we ended up at our favorite spot, Brick Store Pub. Dinner was stressful for me as I sat with a ring in my pocket waiting for the right time. We were going to walk over to a bar, meet some friends after dinner and I was going to ask in the square. Then it started to rain. We tried to wait out the rain as long as possible, but eventually my nerves couldn’t take it anymore, so we walked (or slowly jogged) out through the rain. Once we got to the square, I slowed Lauren down and got down on my knee. She obviously said yes, even in the pouring rain.
