FAQs

Question

No wedding ceremony?

Answer

We are having a ceremony with just our immediate family before our family and friends come to celebrate with us. We invite you all to join us at Harrison's family home in their backyard, address will be found on your formal invitation.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be a shuttle service throughout the night. Parking is offsite and available at two nearby parks. Pine Hill Lakes Park (211 Kings Mills Rd, Mason, OH 45040) is about a 6 minute walk from the reception. Heritage Oak Park (4601 US-42, Mason, OH 45040) is about a 15 minute walk.

Question

What is the weather like in Ohio during spring?

Answer

We are having an entirely outside wedding reception, located in Helen and Jim's big, beautiful backyard! But we know that spring in Ohio can be a bit unpredictable, with temperatures ranging from hot to cool, and occasional rain showers. Ultimately, we chose early spring to alleviate the heat and humidity that typically accompanies summer time. While we’re hoping for beautiful, sunny weather, it's always a good idea to be prepared for anything! To ensure you’re comfortable no matter what, we will have a tent set up for the reception, so you’ll be sheltered from any weather. We’ll do our best to keep you updated on any weather-related changes. Regardless, rain or shine, you all will make it a great celebration!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail/semi-formal. We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing jeans or overly casual clothing. As most of the reception will be held on grass, practical shoes are suggested. For women, we recommend avoiding high heels that may sink into the lawn. Flats, wedges, or block heels are great options to help you stay comfortable. It'll be spring so feel free to wear your spring colors (oranges, pinks, yellows, greens, blues, and purples!)

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we have decided to make this an adult only celebration. We hope you take this as an opportunity to treat our wedding day as a night out to enjoy! We appreciate you making prior arrangements so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would love to share our special day with as many people as possible, but we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specified. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

There will not be a formal sit-down dinner. Instead, food will be served in the beer garden, where guests can enjoy a variety of delicious dishes! We will have vegetarian options for those who have food restrictions. Food will be provided by one of our favorites, Muzante. We hope this more casual style will allow everyone to mingle, enjoy the atmosphere, and savor great food at their own pace.

For all the days along the way
