For those parking at the Puddicombe House: - There is a large parking lot across the street by the store fronts. You can park there for free. Additionally, if you drive further to the park where our wedding ceremony will be held, there is free parking there as well. We are emailing a picture of this to provide more details. For those staying at our preferred hotel, the Walper Hotel: There are numerous parking lots + options surrounding The Walper Hotel. While they most frequently see guests parking at the Charles and Benton Lot (this is the most cost-effective lot in the area at $18/evening), our guests are welcome to park anywhere that feels comfortable. Parking is free on Sundays too! The Hotel also has a limited number of 'Valet" spots directly behind the hotel, and these are rented from the city daily and so they are $23/evening. If you have anyone picking you up and driving you to your venue, they are more than welcome to temporarily park in the valet spaces free of charge. If all of these Valet spots are taken (people can get excited over empty parking spots downtown), your shuttle/car can park on the sidewalk!
The ceremony will take place in the park across the street from the Puddicombe House. The walk is about 100 meters on flat grass. The cocktail hour will take place outside at the Puddicombe House, with seating available. The reception space has stairs to get to the main space and to the washrooms in the basement, however there is also an elevator making the space totally accessible. The preferred hotel the Walper Hotel is completely accessible. They have a couple of accessible rooms onsite as well, and everything else onsite is accessible by elevator. The 3rd floor does have a couple of small steps in two locations (two steps only, not a full staircase), if you have any concerns with the stairs – Caily Penner (caily.penner@walper.com) would be happy to personally assign you to the 4th or 5th floor.
