If you had told us that a set of cymbals would lead to forever, we probably wouldn’t have believed you, but here we are. We met during our undergraduate years at Furman University in the percussion section of the marching band. During rehearsals, members of the front ensemble were often asked to hold cymbals for the snare drum players, and Chandler somehow always managed to be the one volunteering to stand next to Harrison. Coincidence? We’ll let you decide. It didn’t take long for Chandler to realize that Harrison was someone special. From the very beginning, his warm, kind-hearted personality felt like home. That year at Furman quickly became defined by conversations that never seemed to end. Most nights, “just one more story” turned into staying up talking until 4 a.m., completely unaware of how quickly time was passing. Hours slipped by filled with laughter, deep conversations, and the feeling that being together was the easiest thing in the world. As those late nights turned into early mornings and big life decisions, they found themselves navigating many stages of life side by side, like finishing college, Chandler’s first job, a cross-country move, and graduate school. Through every change, their love remained steady, proving that no matter where they were, they were always home with each other. Now, they are beyond excited to see what the future holds. They know that wherever life takes them next, their love—built on music, a friendship like no other, and a lot of lost sleep—will continue to carry them forward with joy.
