Question
When should we RSVP by?
Answer
Please RSVP as soon as you are able the earlier the better! We request that final RSVP’s are sent by September 10th, so that we can give final headcount's to our caterers and create the seating arrangements.

How Do I RSVP?
Answer
RSVP using the tab on this website labeled RSVP (Top Right Tab). You will search your name, and the options will prompt you to RSVP for our wedding day along with providing information about the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception! This information is also provided within the schedule tab for future reference.

What should I do If I can’t Make It?
Answer
You will be dearly missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no”. So we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive at the venue?
Answer
Seating will open at 3:30pm and the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm. Please ensure you will have enough time to park and walk to the venue to be seated before the ceremony starts. Once the ceremony starts, you will not be able to enter until the ceremony is completed and cocktail hour begins.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?
Answer
Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the Surety Hotel. The cocktail hour will take place outside (weather permitting) and the ceremony and reception will take place inside.

What is the dress code?
Answer
We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is cocktail attire. We suggest men wear a suit or dress shirt with a tie and women wear a midi or knee-length dress or dressy separates.

Is there parking located near the venue?
Answer
Yes! The options for parking include: 1. Surety Hotel offers self-parking across the street from the hotel at 604 Mulberry St., Des Moines, IA 50309 at $25 + tax per night. Guests must validate parking with the front desk upon arrival to receive hotel discount pricing 2. Public Parking at 422 Walnut St Des Moines, IA 50309 United States 3. Will alcohol be served at the reception?
Answer
Yes, Beer, Seltzers, Soft Drinks, and Water will be provided. Other drink options will be available for purchase.
