Of course, beyond just our wedding reception, there is lots to see and do at the zoo!
Mitchell's Ice Cream Kitchen & Shop
Maddie worked at Mitchell's for a summer during undergrad, churning up homemade ice cream in this facility. It was once a theater but has since been transformed into a kitchen and scoop shop. Peer through the big windows inside and see ice cream magic in action! Mitchell's is still Maddie's favorite ice cream spot to this day!
West Side Market
After enjoying a scoop at Mitchell's, walk just down the street and pick up some additional treats at the West Side Market, Cleveland’s largest and oldest continuously operating public market!
Cleveland Museum of Art
Soak up the stunning art and bright sunshine from the atrium at the art museum! General admission is always free!
Cleveland Botanical Garden
Just across the road from the art museum, the Botanical Garden is not to be missed. They have great indoor and outdoor exhibits to please any plant lover!
Cleveland Museum of Natural History
And while you're visiting the art museum and Botanical Garden, check out the natural history museum too – it's in the same area! They recently renovated their planetarium and have dinosaur bones (!) and a lovely outdoor area.
Playhouse Square
If you are a theatre fan (like Maddie and Joseph), look no further than Playhouse Square. Believe it or not, it's the largest performing arts center in the U.S. outside of New York City!! We've seen a number of Broadway national tours here – the caliber of the performances is exceptional! Check out their website (linked below) to see what might be playing the wedding weekend.
