Rich and Harmony first bonded online over mutual creativity, curiosity, and a shared love of reading and writing. Before they ever met in person, they were already spending time together through books, conversations, and the stories they loved. A couple of years later, that friendship turned into something more when they met face to face for the first time in South Carolina. Their first date was simple and unforgettable: Steak ’n Shake and an old, campy Godzilla movie. They spent the next six months loving each other long distance, talking for hours every day, and growing closer despite the miles between them. At the time, Rich was on active duty in the Navy and believed he might be sent overseas for a year. When that plan changed, with his bags already packed, he chose instead to move across the country to San Diego to be with Harmony. After two and a half years of building a life together, filled with books, laughter, creativity, and quiet everyday moments, Rich proposed. What began as a shared love of stories has become a lifelong partnership, and they cannot wait to begin this next chapter together with all of you.
