Logan Jackson is the brother of the groom and groomsman. Logan is the only brother of the groom and best friend from childhood. He is a constant presence in the his brother’s life and both in recreation and discussion. Most of the groom’s memories involve Logan, from long discussions on religion, to competing against each other in sports and video games. His humor lightens any room he is in, and his intellect drives forward any conversation. Logan’s influence in his brother’s life cannot be understated.

Jordan Portela is the eldest of the groom’s cousins. Though he is a Millennial, he is an honorary member of Generation-Z. He is noted for the exclusion of the younger members of his cohort in late-night PlayStation 2 sessions, which the groom has since forgiven. Jordan has also influenced the groom’s life through his example, raising his family with Christ at the center.
Gavin Portela

Gavin Portela is a cousin of the groom and closest in age. A friend of the groom from childhood, Gavin had made many memories with the groom, from childhood pool days in Roanoke Rapids, to the college years on Glenwood and Franklin Street. Gavin made many of the best memories, and some of which the groom cannot remember. Gavin continues to make memories with the groom, and continues to be a one of his closest friends.
Garrett Portela

Garrett Portela is a cousin of the groom and friend from his birth. As children, his Spider-Man and Star Wars artwork made the hangout spots at Dito and Dita’s house akin to the Louvre. As an adult, Garrett is well known in Goldsboro for running the best coffee shop in Eastern NC and his musical prowess, but to the groom he has been a friend from the beginning and a consistent joy in his life.
Hayden Portela

Hayden Portela is a cousin and friend of the groom. The youngest of the Portela brothers, he grew up to be not only the tallest, but have one of the biggest personalities. His sense of humor and endless stream of jokes seem to go on endlessly, like the long distance runs he brings the groom on. Hayden’s maturity alongside his sense of humor is evident to the God’s grace in his life.
