Please note that Buxton is only about a 1 hour drive from many northern areas of the Outer Banks, so if you are interested in booking an Airbnb or Vrbo, there are plenty of options all long the island, just ensure you allocate time on the wedding day for your drive. Some historical areas include Roanoke Island, where the first colony was established, as well as Kitty Hawk, NC where the first flight took place.
