The nearest airport to the event is the Bellingham International Airport. However, it is cheaper to fly into SeaTac in Seattle. For our guests from Omaha, Alaska Airlines offers direct flights to SeaTac.
The wedding takes place in Mount Vernon, but the towns of Bellingham, Anacortes, and La Conner are nearby and are pleasant places to stay and visit. Whidbey Island is further away from our venue but is a serene area with plenty of outdoor activities. Seattle accommodations are significantly more expensive than hotels in the Skagit Valley and are an hour or more away from our ceremony location.
Our area is a small, spread out, rural community, so ride-sharing apps are not as dependable in some areas. Also, when visiting state and national parks in the area you should not expect cell phone reception to call a car. Renting and sharing vehicles is recommended if you plan on an extended stay.
