Start your day by grabbing a coffee and taking a morning stroll or by renting a bike and riding along The Battery to take in the water views and the stately antebellum homes.
Did you even go to Charleston if you didn't take a picture in front of the iconic pineapple fountain?! Located in Waterfront Park, the Pineapple Fountain has become a symbol of Charleston’s Southern hospitality. It’s one of the most photographed spots in the city and a wonderful place to rest during a day of exploring. The surrounding park offers shaded benches, sweeping harbor views, and plenty of green space. It’s the perfect blend of scenic and serene.
Danielle and Graham love to go to this local bakery first thing in the morning. Don't let the line scare you away, it can be long but it does move quickly. Make sure to visit early before they sell out! P.S. our favorite eats are the Pimento Bacon Biscuit and the Cheddar Scallion Scone.
Another iconic Charleston location that is a great photo op! Dating back to the 18th century, this row of pastel-colored homes along East Bay Street have been lovingly preserved and photographed by visitors from around the world. There are plenty of walking tours downtown that will also teach you the history of these historic homes, as well as many others around the city!

The first restaurant Danielle and Graham ate at during their first trip to Charleston - also where Danielle tried oysters (char-grilled of course) for the first time. Leon's Fine Poultry and Oysters is a retro restaurant located in a former auto shop on Upper King Street. It offers a variety of dishes including fried chicken, peel-and-eat shrimp, oyster rolls, crab Louie salad, and chargrilled oysters.

Take a short Uber/Lyft ride over to Mt Pleasant to enjoy lunch on Shem Creek - the Trash Can Nachos are worth the trip. Saltwater Cowboys is known for its relaxed vibe and waterfront views. The menu features seafood, barbecue, and southern comfort favorites, all best enjoyed with a cold drink in hand. Fun fact: fans of the Netflix show Outer Banks will recognize Shem Creek!
A charming Lowcountry beach town just a short Uber/Lyft ride from downtown Charleston. Sullivan’s Island offers wide sandy beaches, calm waters, and a laid-back atmosphere. Spend the day lounging by the ocean, paddle boarding, or exploring the historic lighthouse. The island also has some of the area’s best seafood spots and cozy local shops. It’s the perfect place to relax and soak up a sunset stroll along the shore. It's worth the trip to go dine at The Obstinate Daughter!

The Cooper River Bridge Run is a beloved Charleston tradition, starting in Mount Pleasant, taking runners over the iconic Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, cruising down King Street, and finishing right in the heart of downtown. Whether you’re running, walking, or just cheering from the sidelines, it’s a fun way to experience the city! (P.S. Danielle & Graham will absolutely NOT be partaking in this run, lol)

Kiawah is about an hour from Charleston and home 5 amazing courses, including the legendary Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. KIGR is open to the public and tee times can be made without renting property at the resort. This is the perfect way for golf fanatics to kick off or wind down from our wedding weekend!
