We are kicking off the weekend with a welcome party, hosted by Ed and Debbie Davis, for our guests to mix and mingle. This is a great way to meet others who will be attending the wedding and gives our guests time to chat with the bride and groom before the big day. We understand that everyone will be getting into Charleston at different times, so please feel free to drop in whenever it is convenient for you. We will have drinks and light bites available. Wedding Day Shuttle

For your comfort and convenience, we’ve arranged roundtrip transportation to carry our guests from The Dewberry to our wedding celebration at the historic Lowndes Grove. The trolleys will depart The Dewberry promptly at 4:45 p.m. and will return guests to the hotel at the close of the evening’s festivities, around 10:00 p.m. Should you prefer to arrive on your own, complimentary parking will also be available at Lowndes Grove. Please keep in mind that we will have an open bar at the reception; your safety is our number one priority. Rideshare options such as Uber & Lyft are also plentiful throughout downtown Charleston.

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. We ask that our guests arrive at least 15 minutes before to allow ample time for seating. Please note that our ceremony will be outdoors on a grassy area, ladies please keep this in mind when choosing footwear for the event. For ideas on what to wear, please see the Guest Attire page.
Cocktail Hour & Reception
6:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Immediately following the ceremony, we will have cocktail hour followed by our reception. Our cocktail hour will be down by the water where our guests will have access to walk the dock and enjoy the views of the Ashley River, ladies please keep this in mind when choosing footwear for the event. The reception will be outdoors, under the tent on the oyster tabby patio. Guests will also be able to enter the historic home, built in the 1780's, during cocktail hour if you would like to take a look around. For ideas on what to wear, please see the Guest Attire page.
