Buskey Cider
Since we're not big beer drinkers, we've spent a lot of time visiting the many cideries around Richmond and Buskey is definitely Ben's favorite! Their cider is more similar to beer and their seasonal ciders are amazing.
Blue Bee Cider
Meredith's favorite cidery in Scott's Addition is just a few blocks away from Buskey! The cider here has more of a wine taste to it, and the atmosphere of the building and courtyard almost makes you forget you're in Richmond's former industrial district.
Strangeways Brewing
Strangeways is another brewery in Scott's Addition that Meredith was first introduced to by her internship coworkers. Their most famous beers are their sours, of which they have the biggest selection in Richmond.
Ardent Craft Ales
Ardent is one of our beer drinking friends' favorite breweries in Richmond! There's also usually a lot of dogs there. So that's a big plus!
Shockoe Slip
The Slip is one of the closest neighborhoods of Richmond to our loft across the James River. There are plenty of delicious restaurants, like Siné, Mijas, Mama Siam, and the Tobacco Company Restaurant.
Carytown
Carytown is another popular Richmond neighborhood known for its wide selection of restaurants and cute shops and boutiques all located off West Cary Street. The Can Can Brasserie is located right in the middle of Carytown and is where the two of us celebrated our engagement!
White Oak Village
If you're staying in our hotel block, this shopping center has everything you could need and is only about ten minutes from the hotel.
