We're Getting Married

We met on Bumble, and let’s be real—neither of us had high expectations initially. Danielle swiped right because of Adam's cute dog, now her chocolate lab bestie (shoutout Remi girl)! Adam's contagious, inviting smile and his muscles glistening on the beach might have caught her eye as well. Adam swiped right because of Danielle's beautiful blue eyes, her inviting smile, her sporty nature, and all of that bright red hair (insert fire emoji). Our first conversation started with the usual small talk: "Hi Adam :)," "How's everything going pretty girl?" And then, just when we thought it was going to be another painfully awkward chat, Adam sent a double message that demonstrated a real interest. (Adam had to send a double message because Danielle was "busy doing other things" and didn't respond, but Adam digresses). We spent the next few days sending memes, sharing music, debating whether the Browns could make it all the way that year (spoiler alert, they did not), and making bad dad jokes. But then, we started to actually talk—about dreams, fears, family, future goals, more football and all the silly little things we’d never say normally on a first date. Danielle joked that her idea of romance was someone who would watch sports with her, someone down to go to an excessive amount of concerts, and someone who will agree to order two entrees at a restaurant and share them both with each other. Adam shared that he wanted an active person, someone who likes cooking, someone hard working, and a woman not afraid to break a nail helping with tasks around the house. We've come to learn that he's also really fond of a redheaded passenger princess who enjoys days off from work, a fresh manicure, and a sweet treat nightly. Eventually, we decided to meet up in Lakewood, OH. When Danielle walked up to the doors to greet Adam, he was sporting an OSU shirt and had brought seltzers, candy, and flowers. Smart man. Danielle naturally was sporting her crazy hair which Adam recalls as the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. It was so easy to talk to each other for hours upon end, almost like we had been friends for years and years. We continued to schedule date after date in the first two weeks of meeting each other. Danielle quite literally fell for Adam on every walk with Remi they went on those first two weeks. Most of you would not be surprised to hear that. Adam couldn't get enough of Danielle's clumsiness and quick wit (all of the dark humor off the bat was also bold, but it worked and now here we are). Now, a couple years later, after lots and lots of sporting events and concerts attended together, we are still making terrible jokes, stupidly waiting for the Browns to go all the way, and realizing that sometimes the best connections can start with a swipe, a double message, and a cute dog.
