Flight

Istanbul, Turkiye

Istanbul has two airports: Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW). IST is the larger international hub, but you can fly into either. Both airports are about an hour’s drive from Taksim, where we recommend staying. For transportation: - From IST, you can take the Havaist bus to Taksim. - From SAW, you can take the HavaBus to Taksim. Both buses take about 90 minutes and cost around $8 USD. If you prefer to take Uber or a taxi, exercise caution. Some drivers may try to charge a flat rate instead of using the meter, or ask for extra money after accepting the ride. To avoid this, insist on the meter being used or confirm the fare through Uber before starting the trip.

Train

Public Transportation

The public transportation works well throughout Istanbul. Google Maps or the Moovit app will give accurate directions. There is the marmaray, metro, bus and ferry. Candas recommends taking the ferry from Karakoy to Kadikoy and you will have the best views ever, sailing between Europe and Asia. You do not need to get a transportation card, you can tap your regular bank card when entering or exiting the trains, ferries, etc

Taksim Square

We recommend booking your stay in Taksim, a lively and central area that will make it easy to meet up, explore, and coordinate plans with other guests. While we aren’t able to offer a room block due to varying arrival dates, we suggest staying at Crestium Hotel or any nearby hotel in Taksim that suits your preferences. The day before the wedding, we will be arranging transportation from Istanbul to Bursa, with the pickup point in this area—so staying in Taksim will make everything much more convenient!

Private Transfers to Bursa

We will be arranging a private van or bus for our wedding guests to get from Istanbul to Bursa the day before the wedding and the return from Bursa to Istanbul on May 25. The drive is 2 hours each way.

Hotel

Montania Special Class Hotel

For the Bursa portion of the trip, we have secured special pricing at the Montania Special Class Hotel, where our wedding will take place. Since the venue is located outside the city center, this will be the most convenient option for everyone. Staying at Montania will allow all our guests to be together, making it easier to coordinate plans and fully enjoy the celebrations. More details on how to book with our special rate will be provided soon!

Flight

Boise, Idaho

The only acceptable airport option will be BOI. From here, you can take an uber to your accommodations. If staying in Boise which we recommend, it will be about a 30 minute ride.

Travel Note

Transportation

There really isn't any public transportation options in southern Idaho so the best option is to use Uber or rent a car.

Hotel

Boise

For the Idaho portion of the trip, we recommend staying in downtown Boise. It’s the best place to stay, as there isn’t much to do outside of the city, and downtown offers great restaurants, bars, and activities within walking distance. There are several hotels to choose from, but The Grove Hotel is a great option if you’re looking for a convenient and comfortable stay. Of course, you’re welcome to book any nearby hotel or airbnb that suits your preferences!
