Charcuterie Slayer
Hilary knew from an early age that she had a taste for the finer things in life. To her, that never meant beautiful things, but a beautiful way of caring, and an eye for details others often miss. She cares deeply for her people, cares that being cut off from bottomless mimosas is grounds for an automatic reduction in tip, and cares passionately that the toilet paper roll should always go over, never under, though Chase finds it funny to flip them all the wrong way as a game. Most importantly, she cares about making life feel warm and full. She believes that if the glass is half empty, there’s always room to top it off — in life and in margaritas. She hates the cold, loves poolside guac, and could happily disappear for hours with a good book in hand. She always knew her knight in shining armor would come riding in on a horse someday. He may not be cavalry, but his carefree spirit, occasional carelessness, and mutual instinct to make sure everyone around him feels looked after is the finest thing she could have ever dreamed of.
Champagne Cavalier
How can you put into words that being born an old soul would shape you into a caviar-loving, whiskey aristocrat with a rifle? He’s just a soft-hearted guy in multicam. A man who loves history, hates eggplant, and treats answering a text message like a suggestion rather than a responsibility. Yet the second you get him on the phone, he won’t stop talking until every opinion has been debated, defended, and fully exhausted. He won’t wake up to the first two alarms, is usually running a little behind — like say, to the altar — and has always moved through life at his own pace. But over time, the proof has been in the bread pudding. Time together has only confirmed that his forever was never going anywhere. She may overthink everything, fixate on clutter, reorganize their library by color (talk about being annoying), and notice every small error, but she is the keeper of his heart, his time, and perhaps most impressively, his schedule — the only person worth being annoyed with for the rest of his life.
Sister of the Bride
Ashley embraced her role as a big sister from the very beginning, proudly calling Hilary “her baby” and asking to bring her to show-and-tell. Over the years, being a “good sister” has beautifully evolved into having a best friend for life. Although it probably wasn’t easy for her to grow up with a constant sibling shadow, she’ll never fully know the true gift she’s been. Today, we laugh about the past and all the childhood trauma delivered via sibling banter—like the time Ashley ruined Santa for Hilary simply because she was a teenager who wanted to sleep. Ashley and Hilary both hold their time together close, understanding that it’s rare and truly precious—whether it’s cherishing the magic of the holidays, rodeo trips, or camping adventures. Anyone would be honored to have her by their side. Through every high and every low, she shows up—not only for Hilary, but now for her brother Chase too—always being there in all the ways that truly matter. In every lifetime, in every season, we would choose her. Ashley pours so much thought, love, and effort into the people around her, never asking for anything in return. We are truly blessed with the best.
Bridesmaid
Corrie is the friend everyone needs—an absolute hype queen who fills your tank before her own. She’s been a constant support and best friend to the bride through every version of herself: the free spirit, the analytical thinker, and the detail-obsessed planner—all while fully embracing her ridiculous sarcasm and perfectly timed puns. Somehow, Chase’s quick wit, shenanigans, and go-with-the-flow attitude have even grown on her. From girls’ weekends across Oregon to sun-soaked couples’ trips on the beaches of Mexico—from the not-so-glorious deployment years to glamorous nights out, yoga classes, and late-night phone calls—even the slower days spent wandering parks or flower farms with your toddler—she never misses a birthday or an opportunity to celebrate the people she loves. She’s proof that the best moments are just as special in the quiet, everyday ones. Life’s “big picture moments” wouldn’t be the same without you, Corrie. We’re so grateful for the love you show and for truly understanding us—both individually and as a couple.
Bridesmaid
Robin and Hilary share birthdays just one day (and a few years) apart, and as a Virgo/Virgo duo, it’s no surprise they often finish each other’s sentences—half the time, it’s like they share the same brain. Robin is not only wonderful and a genuinely good listener, but she always finds a way to balance those around her. The three of us have been fortunate to share many cold pints at a Duck game together. Luckily for Chase, he’s not always in tow as a third wheel to concerts, comedy shows, concession stands, or our summer camping trips, because Robin loves all the things he doesn’t—truly a win-win. She’s the friend you can always lean on when life feels heavy or tough—steady, reliable, and always up for a good time. Having her around is truly something special—not just for Hilary and Chase, but for Sydney and Murphy as well. She’s hands-down the best dog aunt anyone could ask for and truly our ultimate adventure buddy.
Bridesmaid
Teri and Hilary first met during work orientation back in 2014, quickly bonding over shared stress and a mutual love of savory baked goods. Over the years—through many moves, tough times, and plenty of personal growth—one thing has remained constant: whether near or far, they’ve always made time for each other. The chats are never long enough, but the memes are endless. The best part of having a long-distance best friend for over a decade? Our annual girls’ trips. No matter where we meet—Oregon, California, Mexico, Nevada, or North Carolina—we always find a way to discover new foods, new places and new things about one another. Even when Chase can’t tag along, the adventures never miss a beat. Every moment together is unforgettable. Thank you, Teri, for every ounce of love you’ve poured into each chapter of our lives—and for always finding the fun in everything we do.
Groomsman
Brother since boy scouts. Husband. Father. Beer Connoisseur. Known for his fear of fish (the swimming kind) and his unwavering love for Swedish Fish (the candy kind), he lives a life full of contradictions. After being denied three times as an official Emmental cheese taste tester, he has humbly accepted that some talents go unrecognized.
Groomsman
"Butcher" Brother. Father. Husband. Whiskey Enthusiast. He enjoys velvet, is a devoted Swiftie, and decompresses by building miniature pirate ships while peeling dried Elmer’s glue from his hands—his unique version of peace and quiet. An obsession with Pirate’s Booty popcorn, paired with his first job at a tire factory, made the nickname “Michelin pirate” an easy one to earn.
Groomsman
"Anzac" Brother. Gold-Star Son. Tequila Specialist. A former spelling bee champion with an unexplainably intense love of candy corn, he spends his free time bird watching—but only if the birds are emotionally stable and not looking at him. He’s usually wondering where bees go in the winter or pondering something else philosophical. Some say he peaked early; he says he’s just conserving energy.
Father of the Groom
"Hub" is truly one of a kind. He’s not only a master at making everyone feel welcome, but he’s also an excellent cook. Over the years, we’ve learned not just a few fun recipes for the kitchen, but also valuable lessons for life—whether through his love of history, the laughs shared at comedy shows, or the lively conversations that are always a hoot around the dinner table. His love of reading has given him not just knowledge, but perspective—and a thoughtfulness that make him so wonderful. We feel incredibly fortunate to have him so close to us.
Parents of the Bride
The parents of the bride, Jon and Jamie, have been a constant source of love and guidance over the years, and we couldn’t be more grateful. After 10 long years, the moment has finally arrived—they are both thrilled to officially welcome another son-in-law to the family! Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to share countless evenings together, from dinner cruises and big birthday celebrations to now planning a large family cruise. Along the way, we’ve shared so many fun adventures and experiences —it brings us such joy to be able to share in something new with you or simply go to the local hangout. Chase is deeply grateful that Hilary inherited her mother’s zest for life and her father’s sense of humor. We’re looking forward to creating many more memories together as a family and feel truly fortunate for their generosity, love, and support.
Officiant
Ron is so many things to us—leadership, steadiness, and that rare kind of calm that makes you believe everything will be okay. He has guided the people around him through moments both big and small, and those very qualities are exactly why he’s the perfect officiant for our nuptials. Marriage is both war and peace: the challenges that demand strength and teamwork, and the peace that follows when two people choose each other wholeheartedly. Ron understands both. He not only understands the battles—whether in marriage, life, or war—but has always found a way to understand both of us while maintaining balance, embracing our banter, and offering a clarity worth contemplating when it’s needed most. To the groom, Ron’s strength, his years in the army, and the camaraderie he embodies have always shown what it means to stand tall. And for the bride, he’s always made sure she felt supported and lifted up. Ron is the guy everyone instinctively follows—and let’s be honest, we’d follow him anywhere. With Ron, all times are good times, and we couldn’t imagine anyone better to lead us into our next chapter as Mr & Mrs.
