Nestled in the Boise foothills just minutes from downtown, the Idaho Botanical Garden is a 15-acre living museum filled with themed gardens—from romantic roses and fragrant herbs to tranquil koi ponds and native wildflower collections. Take a leisurely walk through our alma mater, Boise State University! We LOVE to take nice long walks through the tree-lined campus that sits along the river, admiring the beautiful brick buildings that lead us all the way to the infamous BSU Blue Turf - a must-see when here in Boise!
Idaho Steelheads
We highly recommend catching an Idaho Steelheads hockey game! They’re Boise’s pro minor league team, and the games are a total blast—fast-paced action, loyal fans, cold beer, and maybe even a good ol’ hockey fight (if you’re lucky). The arena’s right in the heart of downtown, so it’s the perfect pre-or-post dinner activity if you're in the mood for some good vibes and sports energy.
Freak Alley Gallery
This downtown Boise hidden gem is the region’s largest open-air mural gallery—a colorful, community-driven canvas bursting with vibrant street art. Just a 45 minute drive from downtown Boise, Bogus Basin is a ski resort with skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. (They even have night skiing at discounted rates!) If you love your winter activities and want to enjoy what the winter has to offer here in Idaho, we recommend heading up the mountain!
