Now the favorite sister of the bride, Andrea and Heather's relationship was a bit rocky to start. Andrea was not a fan of her new baby sister and requested that she be kept under the front porch. Heather has since won over her big sister with her kind heart, sweet personality and the ability to always see the good in any situation... as long as there are snacks, you do not want to see Heather hangry. She is now one of the most important people in the bride's life. Andrea is honored and thankful to have her sister by her side on this special day.
Timothy Holleman
Best Man
Heir apparant to the Holleman legacy...Tim is Peter's oldest brother whose claim to fame is stealing all of the good hair genes amongst the siblings. Better hair, better at sports, better artist...what's not to admire in a big brother? Always good for bouncing around creative ideas with and discussing anything from tech to sports to philosophy to finance to who is the favorite son, Tim will always be special to the man of the hour. Peter is thrilled to have TIm stand as his Best Man.
Lee Hanson
Man of Honor
Favorite brother of the bride. Lee is Andrea's younger brother and the baby of the family. He has an adventurous spirit and is always down for a good expedition. One of Andrea's favorite trips with Lee was white water rafting and camping in the mountains of North Carolina where he told jokes and stories of his travels across Europe. Andrea is looking forward to welcoming Lee home from Ukraine and is honored to have him as her Man of Honor.
Joseph Holleman
Best Man
Joe is Peter's other brother. Closer in age, the two spent a lot of time together growing up; sharing a room until about the time Joe went to college. Many stories. Most of which Mom was not too fond of at the time, especially the one with the BB gun. The two have come a long way from rough housing and quoting movies as kids to talking sports, history, who is the favorite son, and quoting movies as adults. Peter could not be happier having Joe stand as his Best Man #2 (or #1, depending on the day).
Mia Holleman
Daughter of the Bride & Groom
The couple's first born! Mia was born the day after Hurricane Matthew brushed the coast of North Carolina where the couple was living at the time. Mia has been an adventurous handful ever since. She is such a goofball and she's the sweetest little kid while at the same time being the most stubborn little thing you'll encounter. Unfortunately for Mom and Dad, she has these giant brown eyes and cutest little voice that melts their heart. Can't stay mad at her for long. She is also the BEST big sister. She cares so much for her little brother and it has been incredible to watch. Peter and Andrea are so proud of her!
Aksel Holleman
Son of the Bride & Groom
The couple's second born! It was a rough start for Aksel, but he pulled through and proved to be so strong and resilient. He's starting to smile and seems to be quite curious of his surroundings. Peter and Andrea cannot wait to see what he develops into. He's also not so little like his big sister. Don't be surprised if this kid is taller than her by the time he is one. Goodness.
Aaron Rodriguez
Officiant
Aaron and his family are friends of Peter and Andrea. Aaron and Peter met freshman year at Iowa State when they pledged their fraternity together. Many stories from that time, but the most memorable would be their parade float building days which included a barn that refused to stay built! Fast forward ten years later and the two, with their families, now live near each other in Ames. They purchased a bus together with another college friend and are working to repurpose it into an RV. Its main purpose is to support their participation in Iowa's RAGBRAI bike event every summer (as well take the families camping and tailgating ISU football games). Peter and Andrea are so excited to have Aaron officiate their ceremony. He and his family are great people!
