Andrew and Taylor met for the first time in the summer of 2012 at Roger Williams University’s freshman orientation. The two were placed in the same orientation group and they started to learn a little about each other through a series of icebreakers. Andrew finally decided to approach Taylor at one of the nighttime events where they chatted about their excitement for the future ahead at college. While it wasn't love at first sight, there was an immediate spark. The next day as Taylor was leaving to go back home, she was stopped by Andrew in the hallway. He asked politely for her phone number (back then also known as digits), so they could stay in touch during the summer leading up to the fall semester. She accepted the request, and Andrew drove home on cloud 9 after securing a cute college girl’s phone number. Although Andrew and Taylor never met up during the summer, they would text on and off or message on Facebook. If anything, it made it easier for them to reconnect when they both arrived back on campus for their first college semester in the fall. And that’s when the two really started to fall for each other. They would frequent each other’s dorms, hangout with each other's friends, and even shared some of the same business classes. Eventually, Andrew finally mustered the courage to ask Taylor on an official date via Rhode Island Public Transit to the Providence Place mall. And from there…the rest is history. The two started “officially” dating in October 2012, and have been together ever since. That includes four years of undergraduate, a half semester studying abroad and traveling in Europe, 7 years postgraduate as real adults, and 5 years living together in Waltham, MA. After many years and adventures together, Andrew finally decided to pop the question during a beautiful sunset dinner on a family vacation in Aruba. We are excited for you all to join us in Rhode Island to take part in celebrating the next chapter in our lives together, where we first met.
