The Wedding Website of Joseph Britton and Francesca Bonnici
For all those burning questions, we've tried to answer all of them the best we can. If there's anything we've forgotten to cover, please do reach out at brittontobewedding@gmail.com
Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will be held at Casa Bruciata, Perugia, Umbria in Italy in the panoramic garden followed by the reception on the grounds of the vineyard.

Question

Where can we stay?

Answer

There are a range of local B&Bs and hotels that we can recommend within a 20 minute drive of the venue. The local town is Umbertide which is a 15 minute car journey away - please contact us at brittontobewedding@gmail.com if you need any assistance finding accommodation. Please see the travel tab!

Question

What is the local airport?

Answer

There are 4 different airports you can fly into. The closest airport is Perugia which has direct flights from Stansted and is a 40 minute drive to the villa. Alternatively, you can fly into Rome, Pisa or Florence which is around a 2 hour car journey to the villa. For those arriving on the 20th July 2027 and staying on property, the villa can arrange a coach to transfer us from Rome airport which we will be flying into, please let us know if you would like this option and we can arrange this for you.

Question

When should we book our travel?

Answer

Airlines open one year in advance, we would recommend you have your flights booked 6-8 months in advance of the wedding.

Question

How do we get to the villa?

Answer

You can get a transfer from Rome, Florence, Pisa or Perugia. We will be flying into Rome on July 20th and are happy to organise a coach transfer if you are on the same flight as us for an additional cost.

Question

When is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be held in the Casa Bruciata grounds on July 24th 2027

Question

Will there be additional events?

Answer

Yes! We want to celebrate in style all weekend long as a huge thank you to those of you taking your time to fly out to our wedding. This isn't just a show up, eat cake and go home type of wedding! We are turning this into a full weekend of love, laughter and maybe a little too much wine from the vineyard! Please see the itinerary tab for more in depth details.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invite says "and guest" - congrats, you've got a plus one! If not, we love you dearly... but this time, we're keeping it cosy. Ps - if your plus one is Harry Styles or Sydney Sweeney please email us immediately for an invite! ;)

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Absolutely! We love you and your little ones and can't wait to share the dance floor with them. This isn't an adult wedding, it's a family wedding.

Question

What is the weather like in Umbria?

Answer

We've been promised glorious sunshine, so cross your fingers for our sake we have 30 degree weather all week. Don't forget the factor fifty... or the carrot oil!

Question

Will the ceremony be outdoors?

Answer

Yes, so please sunscreen up.

Question

Will the ceremony have a dress code?

Answer

Dress to impress, whether that's black tie, bold and colourful or sparkly, look and feel fabulous. We are asking for no shorts (Sorry Joe, this applies to you too!) and smart shoes - photos last a life time. Ps - no white.

Question

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Our wonderful photographers and videographers have kindly requested an unplugged (no phones) ceremony so they can get the most beautiful shots possible. However, please snap away all night long once the ceremony is over. We are providing all kiddos with activity packs for the dinner so that iPads can remain under lock and key - just chicken nuggets and conversation! #unplugged

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

YES! And we want you to set the Italian record for how much alcohol can be consumed in one night.

Question

What should I do in my free?

Answer

There are plenty of beautiful things to do and see in Umbria - it's why we chose to get married here! From lake days at Lake Tresamino, to wine tasting on the many vineyards and even a day trip to the Tuscan Coast, you can explore on any of the free days! Please see the Things to Do tab for more info!

Question

Will food be provided all week?

Answer

For those of you staying on villa with us, we have organised food all week! Breakfast and dinners will be provided everyday - you all have your own villas/apartments to make lunch everyday or you can go into town to try the many restaurants and bars. Dinners will include Pasta Night Pizza Night BBQs For those of you not on property, we will be having a Last Night of Freedom dinner on July 23rd which you are all invited to.

Question

Can I help with anything?

Answer

You could win us the lottery, that would be amazing! However, we are only requesting your amazing company and maybe some support for the Bridezilla! (Sorry Megan)

Question

I have another question you've not answered!

Answer

Please email us at brittontobewedding@gmail.com or Whatsapp the Bride and Chief of Organisation or her personal assistant on this journey... the groom.
