Bride
From their first conversation about Chipotle, Becki held Kris' heart captive. She is a bundle of curiosity, with new interests sparking up every day - Sewing, manicures, an aspiring botanist, with many future hobbies to come. Becki is the most creative, caring, hilarious, gorgeous, intelligent, and strongest woman he has ever met. She has been his rock and motivation and will continue to be so forever.
Groom
Kristopher has been making Rebecca smile from the first moment they met- allegedly saving her from a frightful parking lot (see first date on home page). He is charming, thoughtful, and the funniest comedian you'll meet. Not to mention his handsome good looks. Kris is always encouraging Rebecca to try new things. Without him, she would never have found her love for Brazo De Mercedes and The Walking Dead. He is her inspiration, light, and best friend. Cheers to forever my love!
Mother of the Bride
Liz is the most wonderful mother of three kids, Matthew, Kevin, and Rebecca. The best mom a daughter could ask for. When Rebecca was young, Liz would take her out for “girl-time” away from Dad and brothers. They always came back refreshed and their bond closer.
Mother of the Groom
Felma is a force of nature. A true testament to love and sacrifice. She raised two son's on her own while working as a nurse at night. Growing up, Kris had fond memories of the time his mom would set aside for our Sunday movies. Always had to make it in before 2 for those matinee prices!
Father of the Bride
David is a determined dad. Giving up a few years in the work force to become a stay-at-home dad, he always made sure the kids were out to school. Each morning, he woke up all three kids with a song that Rebecca still wakes up thinking about.
Best Man
Kris and Nik met in the 6th grade. Nik HATED Kris. And I'm talking about true loathing. Nik made his mind up when they were playing basketball together in P.E. and every time that someone would make a shot, Kris would yell "BOOTY" to make them miss. And eh. Kris gets it. He would hate Kris too. Although throughout the years, through persistence and a little pestilence, Nik would grow to love Kris. They bonded through everything. From Anime, Music, romantic advice, hatred of running - you name it.
Matron of Honor
Rebecca and Nicole were attached at the hip since childhood, never one without the other. They would tell strangers they were sisters- a complete lie but how would they know? “Pinky-rainbow-world-swear” they said when they decided to be best friends for life at age 6 and 4. A promise they've kept since then.
Groomsman
Bert showed up in Kris' life in the worse way. When Kris found out that his dear cousin was dating a new boy, Kris disapproved immediately. "An old man? With my cousin?! No way." Kris thought of so many ways to try and bully Bert on their first meeting. But when they actually met, Kris found that they had a ton in common. Bert was a really cool old man. So Kris gave him a chance and got to know Bert. Years later, Kris considers Bert one of his best friends. Now Bert bullies Kris every chance he gets.
Matron of Honor
One fateful day, Paige started a new job at the local car dealership. During the tour, she met Rebecca. Paige forced Rebecca to go Christmas shopping with her one year and roped her into wrapping her children's gifts. Since then, they have spent many days together sipping wine, gossiping, and chasing after Paige’s two kids, Lilly and Landyn.
Groomsman
Chris has been one of Kris' largest pillars in life. They bickered constantly, yet somehow when the fire subsided, what was left was a smoldering flame of love, respect, and admiration. They kept each other in check, always there when they needed each other. Kris' earliest memory of them fighting was when Kris nut checked Chris with a J shaped umbrella in middle school. Sorry Chris. <3
Bridesmaid
Meeting in fourth grade, Amanda and Rebecca instantly bonded. These two had a record of talking too much in class- a record that would follow them to senior year. They bring out each others goofy side and can be their silliest selves around each other.
Groomsman
Connor Pearson. A man of charisma, grit, and an absolute chad of an individual. Connor and Kris have been friends since 8th grade biology. Our first memory is Kris inviting Connor over to his house, and when Kris went to show Connor his backyard, Connor closed and locked the door behind them effectively keeping both of them outside of the house. This led to the beginning of a long friendship filled with adventure and mischief.
Bridesmaid
Kaitlyn was always the voice of reason to Rebecca and Mackenzie growing up. Anytime the cousins came together, Kaitlyn was the one in charge. She spread her wise knowledge with Rebecca and taught her a curse word or two. Although she had grown out of childish things, she never complained to join in on the swing set with her younger cousins.
Groomsman
They first met in a program called "SEP." They immediately clicked and formed a little group of friends that they would hang out with during lunch. Kris was Torta Boy and Enrique was the Majestic Afro. (Bring the Afro back Enrique). Enrique has been Kris' moral compass since 5th grade. Every moral question was lead by Enrique's passionate charge of greater good. A true friend Kris would hope to have by his side for the rest of his life. Enrique is single and ready to mingle ladies.
Bridesmaid
Rebecca and Mackenzie always found the best way to have fun growing up. Summer sleepovers, Barbie’s, and play pretending they own a grocery store. Sadly, the business failed as they didn’t know to report pretend taxes. Imagination was never an issue for these two and always came up with wild scenarios to make the most of their time together.
Groomsman
Haik is one of Kris' most reliable friends. A true yes man. Need a ride from the airport? Haik is there. Haik slept late but Kris is at his door begging him to go with him? Haik is there. There isn't a moment remembered where Haik ever says no. Haik and Kris first became close when they went snowboarding for the first time together. There's a lot to be said about life when riding up that slow ski lift, and Kris and Haik talked about all of it. When Haik went to school in New York, Kris went to visit quite often and they reigned hell on that city together. Haik is Kris' food buddy for life, always together trying to find the next best thing.
Bridesman
Rebecca first met Ben at the car dealership where they worked- Paige’s then boyfriend. Rebecca would wave and say good morning to Ben- he would ignore her. After Paige and Rebecca became friends, Ben finally would say good morning back. Years later, these three regularly bully each other and shoot the breeze.
Groomsman
Matt is one of Kris' oldest friends. On the swing set of Jefferson Elementary School, Kris confided in Matt one of his deepest secrets. Kris told Matt that he wanted to be on American Idol. Faced with embarrassment from confiding, Kris looked away, only to met by the supporting words Matt said that echo in Kris' head to this day - "You can do it. If there's someone who can, it's you Kris." Matt has always been there for Kris. If Kris ever makes it on to American Idol, you can bet that Matt will be there in the audience cheering him on.
Groomswoman
Of course the two people who hated Kris in the beginning got married. And oh boy, did Melanie hate Kris growing up. They actually attended pre-school together, and we can be sure that she probably hated him then too. Yet, somehow, through trials and tribulations, Kris earned Melanie's love and respect. Every day at lunch in High School was met with a death stare from Melanie to Kris until one day... it was gone. Slowly, they got to know each other more and Melanie came to accept Kris as her future husbands best friend.
