Our Happily Ever After

The groom had plans on New Years Eve to go to his usual bar, but him and friends stopped at a different bar in Oshkosh called "The Beachcomber" for a drink. That is when Taylor walked through the door and into his life. The groom's friends left him at that bar because they were going to their normal hangout. The groom had his eye on the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. That girl and her friends went to a different bar and the groom followed, even though he didn't know any of them. The two of them started talking and had an immediate connection. They exchanged numbers and have been talking ever since. Two months after that he eventually asked her to be his girlfriend, and luckily she said yes. The rest is history. Sometimes a change of plans can lead to something great! The stars definitely aligned that night.

The bride's New Years Eve plan was to go out on Main Street. Last minutes, she changed her mind to go to "The Beachcomber". That night she had decided to give up on finding love, but had no idea what was in store for her. At the bar, a friend wanted to introduce the bride to her boyfriend. The bride was desperately hoping her friend's boyfriend was not the tall one standing near her. Luckily, he was not. Taylor kept catching glimpses of Alex as he played pool and when the bride left to go to a different bar, Alex jumped in the car with them. When they arrived at the next stop, he carried Taylor over the snow bank. Later, the bride was pouring shots from on top of the bar, and Alex helped her down. As the conversation flowed, the connection was undeniable. Numbers were exchanged and the two have talked every single day since. After two months, Alex's friends took bets on how long it would take for him to make it official. He proved them all wrong by asking her to be his girlfriend that very night. Their love story started by chance, but has grown stronger ever since that New Years Eve night at a dive bar in Oshkosh.

The two were spending 4th of July weekend at the groom's family campground like they do every year. This year a few special people joined them for the celebrations. The night before, the groom made it very clear to the bride and his family that it would still be quite a while before he popped the question. The next night, just as everyone got settled in for the firework show, the groom told the bride to get up for a photo in front of the fireworks. At first the bride refused, because she just wanted to watch the fireworks. Luckily, she finally got up to take the photo. At that moment, with fireworks exploding in the background, the groom got down on one knee in front of their families and friends and asked the bride to spend the rest of her life with him. The rest is history.
