We’re Getting Married

Devante and Allison first met outside of Martin Luther King High School on Hough Ave. Allison had been sitting on the rocks with her friends waiting for them to get on their bus. After a while Devante’s best friend at the time(whom Allison already knew) and Devante approached her by the rocks. At this point Devante’s best friend introduced Devante to Allison. He asked her if she was on her way to work because she was wearing scrubs, Lol(She was a Health Careers student at MLK). After a little joke and laugh about the situation, everyone went their separate ways. From that point on Devante would wait in between classes for Allison to walk by, just so he could see her and talk to her. He also followed her down the hall one day while she was walking with a few of her friends(They thought it was funny and weird but cute). Allison and Devante would see each other frequently after school, Allison would go to her grandfather’s house to wait for her mom after school. Devante lived a few houses down from her grandfather and would walk past the house to play basketball at Fatima Family Center. In those moments they would talk, flirt and eventually exchanged numbers at school due to the encouragement of another mutual friend. They became official on November 11th, 2008. They separated in 2010 but always stayed connected with each other and attended prom together in 2011. They welcomed their first child and son, Devante Jr in July of 2013 and became an item again a few months later. They relocated to Akron, OH in 2018 and welcomed their second child, their daughter, Alani in October of 2019. On December 29th 2021 Devante asked Allison to be his wife with the help of their two children. On August 4th 2023 they welcomed their third child and second son Allante. Devante and Allison will stand in holy matrimony on June 29th 2024 to make the Alexander family official.
