In the heart of Michigan winter, we attended a friend's birthday party. After a few games of pool and some laughs, we became friends that would bump into one another until we went on our first date the following winter. It was then that we realized we found something special. The next few years were filled with many happy memories. In the time while we dated, we fostered a love of cooking home meals together, exploring nearby towns and restaurants, spending time with friends, and taking kayaking trips on the Au Sable River. It was during this time that we realized we were meant to be. When Andrew first met Dominique's dad, he realized that he worked as a landscaper in her dad's subdivision. When we pulled up in the driveway, Andrew commented that, when he was eighteen years old, he cut the grass at this house. Dominique was in shock, and quickly remarked, "you were the cute lawn guy?!". She began to share the story of her fourteen year old self admiring the landscapers with her friends, and how she had a crush on "the tall one". We truly believe it was fate! 2021 marked a special year for us. We bought a house together, went on a beautiful vacation to Macedonia, and added our Miniature Schnauzer, Eli, to our family! While in Macedonia, in the city of Ohrid, Andrew proposed during a moonlight walk on the beach. It was a moment to remember forever, and the beginning of our forever.
