Travel Note
LOCATION Our wedding will take place at Gruene Estate in the town of Gruene, Texas (pronounced "green") - a Historic District located within the city of New Braunfels, Texas. Gruene sits only a 30-40 minute drive from both San Antonio and Austin. You can fly into either San Antonio (SAT) or Austin (AUS). The two airports are equidistant from the wedding venue and town of Gruene. However, if you are planning on attending Thursday's "Welcome Party", we recommend that you fly into San Antonio. LODGING We are thrilled you’re joining us in Texas, and we wanted to offer some guidance on lodging. These are merely suggestions, and we want you to choose whatever works best for you! New Braunfels is a big wedding destination, so there are tons of hotel and Airbnb options in the area. If you want to stay somewhere more historic, rustic, and classically Texan, we suggest checking out Gruene Cottages or Gruene Homestead Inn. If you’d like to float the river, we’d recommend an Airbnb on the Comal River in New Braunfels. If you’d like to stay in a more traditional hotel, there is the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New Braunfels or the Hilton Garden Inn New Braunfels. GETTING AROUND You can rent a car or rely on a ridesharing company (Uber/Lyft) for travel between activities. So much room for activities!
