The first time Jacob encountered Tyler was at the Junior Squash US Open. Jacob lost in the second round, but watched Tyler play in the finals, where Jacob's main impression was, "wow, what a cocky S.O.B.". Imagine Jacob's surprise a few years later when he walked onto his college team and saw Tyler! The swagger was definitely not an act during any competitive activity, but Tyler backed it up with humility and hard work off the court, and they became fast friends. They got up to some legendary hijinks over the years, and they've supported each other through plenty of the ups and downs of life. Couldn't be more fortunate to have him as a best man! Lena’s little sister is flying in from Germany to support us on our special day. She will graduate from High School this June as well, so it’s quite an exciting month! Franklyn has known Jacob for figuratively forever, going all the way back to middle school in Connecticut. They quickly realized they had literally the same sense of humor, and bonded over Runescape, JV soccer, Yu-Gi-Oh, and other random hobbies. He also introduced Jacob to squash! They ended up going to different high schools, but remained close and were lucky enough to end up at the same college. He's a certified CrossFit coach with the voice of an angel (sorry ladies, he's engaged), and Jacob is lucky to have him as a life-long friend! Flying in from: Charlotte, NC

Meet Lena’s cousin Emily who also lives in SF! In 2014, they spent her last summer of high school together in Michigan and had sleepovers in the freezing dunes and swing danced all around Grand Rapids. They never would have thought that they’ll end up living in the same city or even country. Now, they are each other's trusted plant/pet sitters, spare apartment key holders, and wine night buddies. Though he's since moved across the country and is getting a Master's while working full-time, they still frequently catch up and play Super Smash Bros. over video call and hit the ski slopes together. Amy and Lena met in Grad School where they got introduced, because they were the only Germans. Naturally, that was enough to become besties. Ojo and Jacob became friends at a mutual friend's party in San Francisco (it's a much, much better story than what it sounds like). He's the kind of guy who loves life and finds the fun side of everything, whether it's turning down at a weekday board game night, turning up at a concert by an artist he's never heard of, or turning heads at a hip-hop dance class with people he met mere minutes before.
