San Francisco Cooking School offers the largest program of hands-on cooking classes in on the West Coast for cooks at any level. Every cooking class is full-participation with intimate, small-class instruction from the best culinary talent and local chefs in San Francisco. SFCS is also home to a modern professional culinary school offering Certificate Programs in both Culinary and Pastry Arts driven by California Cuisine with integral support of local food community. Our Certificate Programs are designed to propel you into your optimal food career through a rigorous curriculum and intimate private-school experience with small classes limited to 14 students.

San Francisco Cooking School

Available in San Francisco - Proficiency with a knife is the first step towards building confidence in the kitchen and our Knife Skills class will give you just that. An expert staff instructor will guide you through a series of lessons as you learn a variety of different knife cuts with lots of repetition to get you cutting, slicing, and chopping comfortably. Using vegetables as your guide, you will learn the proper, and safest, ways to use, store, and hone your knives. Best of all they'll send you home with veggies, and the SFCS recipe for Minestrone Soup so you can put them to good use.
