Back in 2017 we were both interning in the Houston area. Two of our mutual friends invited us both to go country dancing and being non-native Texans how could we resist? It was on this night that we met at a country dance hall. Our chemistry was electric. We bonded instantly over our mutual passions for chemical engineering, polymer chemistry, and breweries. Though our meeting was short, it did not take long for us to meet again and realize our connection was something more than friendship. By June 27th, 2017 we began dating. Though there has been challenges such as living/working 125 miles apart for three years, buying a house, and moving in together. Every step of our journey together has allowed our love to grow and provided us with the wonderful relationship and friendship. When Covid-19 hit, it made us even more aware of the distance between us, and like many couples it allowed our love to continue to grow. We had been talking about marriage for a while, and Brandon made the decision to propose to Amber. With the help of his Dad he chose a ring for Amber. Amber had always wanted her family to be nearby when he proposed. So with Amber's parents' blessing, on July 6th, 2020, at Gooseberry Falls in Two Harbors, MN, Brandon got down on one knee, and asked his best friend to marry him. She said yes before he could even finish asking.
