What is on the agenda?

Answer

Guests will be staying at both Coco Plum (Island Resort) and Belizean Dreams (Mainland Resort). We will gather together on Wednesday for a "Cena en Blanca" and Thursday for our wedding ceremony and reception. Every booking includes 3 snorkeling trips that you will work with the resort to schedule. If you would like to do additional activities, please reach out to your resort for pricing and more details.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, all guests staying at Belizean Dreams will take a boat ride to Coco Plum where the ceremony will be.

What are my flight options to get to Belize?

Answer

We've listed the following flight options from Google based on a round-trip flight from Monday, November 20 to Saturday, November 25. If I'm staying at COCO PLUM, when should I plan to arrive and depart from Belize to arrive on time?

Answer

Arrival for COCO PLUM guests: -Book your arrival to Belize City International Airport (BZE) no later than 3:45 pm on Monday, November 20, 2023. The resort will arrange a connecting flight through the local Belize airline partner to Dangriga. -Coco Plum has arranged for boat transportation from Dangriga to the island. There are 2 scheduled boat transfers for check-in – one at 2PM, the other at 5:30 PM on Monday, November 20. When the boat is ready for departure, Resort staff will pick you up from the Dangriga Airport and drive you to the boat dock for the 30 minute boat ride to our Island Paradise....soon to be greeted by their famous Mosquito Bite cocktail! -If you arrive before the scheduled boat times listed, the driver will take you to Pelican Beach Resort where you can relax and purchase food and drinks a la carte until the boat is ready. Departure for COCO PLUM guests: T-here are no restrictions as the resort will make certain you arrive back to BZE international airport at least 3 hours (required) prior to your international departure time. -Boat transfer times for CHECK-OUT are at 7:45 am and at 11:00 am on November 25, 2023. Should you wish to schedule a boat ride at a different time there will be a surcharge fee per couple determined by the resort. -Please don’t hesitate to reach out Coco Plum directly if you have any questions about flight times. If I'm staying at BELIZEAN DREAMS, when should I plan to arrive and depart from Belize to arrive on time?

Answer

Arrival for BELIZEAN DREAMS guests: -Book your arrival to Belize City International Airport (BZE) no later than 3:45 pm. For departing from Belize, schedule flights anytime after 10:00 am for departure. They will arrange a connecting flight to Dangriga through the local Belize airline partner. -The flight from Belize City to Dangriga, is approximately 20 minutes. From there, the resort staff will meet you and transport to Belizean Dreams. The drive from the airstrip is approximately 30-40 minutes. Departure for BELIZEAN DREAMS guests: -The resort recommends your departure is anytime after 10:00am and they will arrange for the transport back to Belize City After flights are booked for BELIZEAN DREAMS guests: -Once you have booked, email the itinerary to Belizean Dreams, your name as seen on your passport and any traveling companions -MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A VALID PASSPORT FOR 6 MONTHS BEYOND YOUR ANTICIPATED DATE OF RETURN

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! There is a dress code for both the "Cena en Blanca" and the Wedding Day. -Cena en Blanca: Instead of a traditional rehearsal dinner, we want to celebrate with all of our guests on the island. We ask that you show off your Belizean tans by WEARING ALL WHITE. Think White Lotus vibes in white linens, white summer dresses, and white, breezy button-downs. Khakis are acceptable in lieu of white pants to the extent necessary. -Wedding Day: Coastal dressy-casual attire -Women: Opt for a nice sundress, breezy maxi dress, or high-quality romper. While dressy sandals are acceptable, please avoid standard, beachwear flip-flops. -Men: Nice, short-sleeved shirts such as tropical printed shirts with collars are encouraged as well as nice shorts (think Chinos) with a belt. Please avoid denim, cargo, and swim shorts. Cotton t-shirts are not permitted. Sandals, deck shoes, and loafers are encouraged.

Our wedding will be outdoors so please be prepared to be in the sun.

The average daytime temperature in Belize in November is 82° F (27° C). Nighttime temperatures average around 73° F (23° C).

What do I pack?

Answer

Basics: -A flexible, positive attitude that’s ready to celebrate and experience new things -Passport valid for 6 months beyond your anticipated date of return -Tickets -Toiletries (Sunscreen w/ high SPF, Aloe Vera, Insect repellent w/ a high DEET concentration) -First Aid (Prescription Medication, Hydrocortisone cream,Benadryl Tablets, Advil,etc.) -Insurance cards -Cash -Credit cards Clothing: -Shorts -T-shirts -Long comfortable pants -Long sleeve shirt -Socks -Fleece or sweater -Bathing suit -Sandals / comfortable flats -Sunglasses -Hats For Tours: -Sturdy shoes like hiking boots -Water shoes (not necessary, but nice) -Hat / cap -Backpack -Binoculars -Snorkel or dive gear -Wind breaker or rain-slick

Is there anything special I should bring to Belize?

Answer

Upon arrival to the International Airport, pick up alcohol your room may want. Coco Plum and Belizean Dreams come with unlimited free local beer, soft drinks, and local mixed drinks (mixed drinks made with local gin, local coconut rum, local vodka, and local rum only). If you would like specific drinks in addition to these during your stay, we recommend picking them up at the Duty-Free section of the airport for your stay. The Beach Bar is open from 10:00 am - 10:00 pm and Happy Hour/Bar Snacks are from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please reach out to your hotel if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. They are known for being very accommodating and will incorporate it into any group meals!

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We would prefer that our guests don't bring gifts. Making memories in this beautiful destination together is more than we could ask for. Your presence is our present! If you would generously like to get us something, please support of one of the multiple charities listed on our registry or contribute to our honeymoon.
