Will there be any day activities for Thursday, October 22?

Answer

Yes! For those that are planning to come early, we will be enjoying a tour in Tequila- the town known for its namesake distilleries and agave plants. You won't want to miss this opportunity to learn about the liquor's history and explore the city. Nightlife activity to be determined for that evening.

What is the wedding reception attire?

Answer

Black Tie | Evening floor length gowns.

How far is the wedding venue from the hotel areas?

Approximately 30-35 minutes.

The venue is outdoors.

Will it be cold at night?

Answer

The weather is usually wonderful both day and night. During mid-October it can get somewhat chilly in the low 60F, but check the weather so you can feel comfortable.

Are there different venue areas to go for the ceremonies and wedding?

Answer

No. Everything is inside the Hacienda Escoba. The walking distance from chapel to wedding venue is approximately 5 minutes. (Vans will be provided to the elder and ladies in heels).

Will there be a requirement to wear Kippah/Yarmulka for Jewish ceremony?

Answer

Yes. If you are planning to sit at the ceremony, they will be provided to the men. Please consider as tradition and respect.

Are we all dancing the traditional Jewish Horah?

Is it okay if I attend one ceremony and not the other?

Answer

You may attend one or both ceremonies. Anybody is welcomed! However, there will only be 80 chairs provided for the Jewish ceremony. Please respect seats with reserved signs for family. There will be someone to guide you towards the designated cocktail area.

Will there be vans provided to leave at an earlier time from the wedding party?

Answer

Yes. Departures to NH Collection Hotel only at the designated hours: Van 1 at 12:00 am. Van 2 at 12:30 am. Van 3 at 1:00 am. Van 4 and Van 5 at 1:30 am. Then Vans 1-3 at 2:00 am. (*Please consider that if the vans are not full, they will not make personal drop off rides in between these hours). If you don’t make it on time or prefer having your own ride, ubers can go to la Hacienda Escoba for pickup at a cheap price $8.

Is Uber safe?

Answer

Yes! In Mexico they are reliable and friendly, all drivers are required to pass background checks and have standardized cars available. Guadalajara has very cheap fares for long trips. They can even take you to the areas of Chapala, Tlaquepaque, Tonala, and Tequila (ask if they can pick you up too, they are willing to make arrangements). Max price to another town $25-$30.

Is it safe to walk around the city?

Answer

Yes. It is especially safe in the designated hotel areas provided (São Paulo and Plaza Andares). If you decide to go to downtown or Chapultepec, please try to go in groups. Like in any other big city in the world, don’t look too touristy to avoid attention and prevent robberies. Be smart with what you wear (jewelry). Women, carry purse in front of you to watch at all times. *TIP: Leave passports and important documents in safe at hotel.

Can we get a van for our group to take us to another town or explore the city?

Answer

Yes! Most hotels can provide a van service for a good price; it also depends on the amount of hours needed and the number in group.
