Our wedding attire is Cocktail Attire – For Men: - "Please wear a suit. Tie optional. - Zak" For Women: - "Please wear whatever you would typically wear to a wedding! A lovely dress, something you feel good and can dance and have fun in! If you need inspo, see below what ChatGPT tells me Cocktail Attire is" - Hannah ChatGPT Guidance: Cocktail attire for women is stylish and sophisticated, typically falling between formal and casual. Here are some key elements: - Dress: A cocktail dress, opt for below the knee or at the knee. - Skirt and Top: A dressy skirt paired with a chic blouse or top is also a great choice. - Accessories: Jewelry– Opt for elegant pieces–think statement earrings or a delicate necklace. Clutch: A small handbag or clutch adds a polished touch.
We are honored to be able to share our wedding date with our beloved Cougs! That being said, we recommend booking travel/stay as soon as possible because our Cougs will be in town playing SDSU and we expect flight/hotel prices to go up.
Because San Diego offers many great accommodation options, we don't anticipate the majority of guests will be staying at the same hotel, or even a hotel at all. We encourage you to look into the many vacation house/apartment rentals in the area that may satisfy your preferred proximity to activities and/or budget. A couple of recommendations close to our venue and favorite neighborhoods below (see more details in Accommodations/Things To Do): Hotels: - Residence Inn by Marriott San Diego Downtown/Bayfront (our venue is located in this hotel) - InterContinental San Diego, an IHG Hotel (across the street) - The Guild Hotel (Boutique Hotel downtown, walkable to the venue) Airbnb/VRBO Location Recommendations: - Pacific Beach (next to the beach) - La Jolla (slightly further north but by the beach) - Normal Heights (our neighborhood & we love it!)
No, we do not currently have a room block for either hotel but are working on establishing a group discount rate at a few hotels near the venue. More details to come soon!
If you are staying in San Diego proper, we recommend taking an Uber/Lyft! Valet parking is available via the Residence Inn. Street parking is available as well but our venue is in a busier tourist area so parking can be limited.
Our Ceremony starts at 5pm sharp.
