When should I RSVP by?

What is the attire for this wedding?

Answer

The attire is "Beach Semi-Formal" or "Beach Cocktail." For women, a maxi or midi dress, formal romper, or dressy jumpsuit all work for a semi-formal or cocktail affair. Feel free to include fun patterns and prints. If you choose to wear a beachy dress, specifically, consider it in either tea-length or maxi to avoid looking too casual. Dressy sandals or flats, chunky heels, and wedges are all acceptable footwear options. Keep in mind the ceremony will be on the beach, in the sand, but we will have a place to put your shoes if you would like to take them off! For men, this means NO SHORTS. Men’s semi-formal beach wedding attire typically consists of a classic long-sleeve button-down and dressy pants. As well, men's ties are optional, but still welcome. While a jacket isn’t required for our wedding, a breathable sport coat or unique blazer is a fun addition. Feel free to include prints, avoiding anything too loud as well. Shoes can be a little more casual, but they still need to be closed-toe, such as nice loafers or on-theme boat shoes. Flip-flops are not appropriate footwear for the day's attire. Again, shorts and sandals are NOT permitted for men.

Can I bring a date?

For this intimate event, only those that have been given a Plus One as indicated on their invite by “and Guest” may bring a date. Please be sure to include them in your RSVP. Thank you!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts promptly at 4:30pm, so we request all guests be seated by 4:15pm at the latest. Please note, the last shuttle will drop guests off by 4:15pm.

Where is the ceremony & reception parking location?

Answer

Complimentary shuttle services will be provided to transport guests to and from The Cottage, as there is no onsite parking for this event. Guests staying at Hotel Alice or The DoubleTree will be picked up from their hotels. Guests staying elsewhere will be picked up by the shuttle from the designated offsite parking location, 107 W Bogue Sound Drive Atlantic Beach NC 28512, and brought back there at the end of the night. Shuttle schedule and offsite parking location are as follows: → Offsite Parking Addresses: 107 W Bogue Sound Drive Atlantic Beach NC 28512 → Shuttle Pick Up Times: **Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to shuttle pick up time.** Doubletree Hotel @ 3:15 PM, 3:35 PM, & 4:05 PM (lodging guests only) Hotel Alice @ 3:15 PM, 3:35 PM, & 4:05 PM (lodging guests only) Offsite Parking 107 W Bogue Sound Drive @ 3:45 PM, 3:55 PM, & 4:10 PM → Shuttle Departure Times: 9:00 PM - 11:00 PM Shuttle runs continuously Parking in the Island Grille Restaurant parking lot and/or on residential streets is strictly prohibited and towing will be enforced. The Cottage is located in a residential area. To protect our neighbors, all speeding and/or reckless driving will be reported to local authorities immediately.  The Cottage offers limited onsite parking spaces for guests who may need ADA or additional assistance. If you are in need of onsite parking, please reach out to Hannah directly to secure an onsite parking spot. Will there be food and drinks provided at the reception?

Answer

Yes! Following the ceremony, there will be a coctail hour. As well, there will be buffet-style food stations and an open bar. Be sure to try out the bride and groom's signature cocktail!

Any special policies I should be aware of?

Answer

Outside alcohol, illegal substances of any kind, and/or weapons are strictly prohibited on the property of The Cottage at The Crystal Coast. Attendees who fail to comply will be asked to vacate the premises. Must be age 21+, with a valid photo ID to consume alcoholic beverages.
