Travel Note
Since our wedding ceremony is taking place on a military base, all guests that do not possess a Department of Defense ID must complete the necessary paperwork and bring proper identification to enter the base. This is a security requirement that cannot be waived. Hatfield gate is located at the intersection of 2nd Street South and Route 27 (Washington Boulevard). This gate has a Visitor Control Center and may be accessed from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to obtain a pass. A pass can also be obtained by applying for it online no more than 10 days (April 30th), but no later than 3 days (May 6th), prior to the issuing date at https://pass.aie.army.mil/jbmhh/ Bring Valid ID: Each guest must bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms include: U.S. Passport Military ID (CAC or retired) Permanent Resident Card TWIC or EDL Driver's License Arrive Early: For non-pass holders please arrive at least 45 minutes to an hour before the ceremony start time to allow for security screening and processing. Ceremony Time: 2:30 PM Arrive By: 1:30 PM
Hotel
This is the hotel where we have reserved a room block for our wedding guests. You may book your stay using the link below or by calling 888-236-2427. When calling, please mention our wedding to receive the group rate. Of course, you are welcome to stay wherever you feel most comfortable. There are many wonderful hotel options in both Alexandria and Springfield.
Shuttle

There will be a bus that can take people from the Alexandrian to the Chapel and Reception and then return to the hotel. Any and all wedding guests are invited to use the shuttle, times for the bus are posted below! For non-DoD ID holders utilizing the bus, PLEASE PRE-REGISTER FOR BASE ACCESS. The process can be done online, for details and the link please look under "Base Access" for how to register. BUS SCHEDULE 1:30pm -Bus departure for Ceremony at The Alexandrian Hotel (480 King St, Alexandria, VA) 2:15pm- Bus arrival at Old Post Chapel 3:10pm- Bus departure from Old Post Chapel to Reception at Springfield Golf and Country Club 3:40pm- Bus arrival at Alexandrian Hotel 4:45pm- Bus departure from Alexandrian Hotel 5:15pm- Bus arrival at Springfield Golf and Country Club 11:15pm- Bus departure from Springfield Golf and Country Club to The Alexandrian Hotel 11:45pm- Bus arrival at The Alexandrian Hotel
Train
King Street Trolley is a fun and free trolley that transports riders King Street-Old Town Metro and City Hall/Market Square. With stops every couple of blocks, it’s perfect for exploring all the shops, restaurants, and attractions Alexandria’s historic main street has to offer. Hours of operation are 11AM to 11PM.
