Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are requesting a dress code of "Black Tie Optional," best described as "elegant evening attire." In other words, we suggest that guests wear a suit, barong, a simple evening gown. We do request that you avoid white, ivory, champagne, and emerald green as these colors will be worn by the bride, Mothers of the Bride and Groom, and the Bridal Party!

We are electing to keep the guest list as intimate as possible. As such, only children specified on the invitations are included.

Will there be Child Care?

Answer

Parents wear so many hats, and we want to make sure you can fully enjoy wearing your “party hat” as a cherished part of our celebration! To that end, we are providing childcare during both the ceremony and the reception, and we respectfully request that all children under the age of 10 be cared for through the provided childcare or other personal arrangements throughout these events. Children in the wedding party are, of course, also welcome to join the child care room at any point during the reception if desired. Ceremony childcare will be in the church's Family Room upstairs, and reception childcare will be in the Salon directly across from the reception space for parent ease and comfort. Please indicate your childcare needs in your RSVP. Selection of child care team will occur after final headcount and ages are received, and contact info can be communicated with families after this point, if desired.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are keeping the guest list as intimate as possible. As such, only the names already listed on the invitations / your Zola RSVP are included.

Where do I fly into?

Answer

Norfolk International Airport (ORF) is the airport for the Virginia Beach area. It is 20 minutes from the three Cavalier Resort Hotels and 12 minutes from Founders Inn.

Is there transportation from the airport to my accomodations?

Answer

Rental Car services are available at the Norfolk Airport. However, the Cavalier Resort Hotels do not provide shuttle service. Founders Inn and Spa does provide shuttle service, but at a fee and only when scheduled in advance. Do you have a registry?

Answer

Yes, Zola is our "umbrella" registry, containing items registered for from different sites. To view items, please click the "Registry Tab" above. All gifts above $30 are "group gifts" on the original host sites, even if not labeled as such on Zola.
