Bridesmaid
Hannah's older sister Years ago she moved west to live amongst the awing nature and enjoy the relaxed west coast life style that she brings to the table with her energetic partner, Jonny. She's very thoughtful and is always thinking ahead. When Billy told her he was going to propose, she suggested the proposal site on our American road trip: a camera obscura that overlooked the Pacific Ocean. She has two adorable fat cats, Smokey and Gus. Don't worry, she's not your typical "cat lady" but Molly & Jonny sometimes dress up like them in cat onesies. Fondest memories: Sitting passively under Molly as she pretended to beat Hannah up. Sisterly love, or tough love as Molly likes to call it. And staying up late talking in Room 6 at The Meredith Inn.
Best Man
College Friend, Texas-Native, and great IT help Billy met Mike in college through Will, another groomsman. Billy can honestly say that his college experience would have been much less enjoyable had he never met Mike, though he may have been less tempted to put off studying at times too. Mike makes good food, fixes just about anything that breaks, and seems to have an unending font of energy; a good friend for a fool. With the help of his great wife Chelsie, who thankfully keeps him in line, they are raising one of our favorite little people, David. Proud to consider him and his ilk as close as family. Fondest memories: Nerding out on computers/Surprise bachelor party in CO/Catan with boxed wine and Coffee/Building and working at a forge
Bridesmaid
Friends since 1st grade Brittany is Hannah's oldest friend and has seen her through all her phases of life - the good and the embarrassing! She studied Interior Architecture at FIT and now lives in San Francisco with her newly wed husband, Michael. They were part of Billy's engagement plan and celebrated it with them in San Francisco. Brittany is the kindest lady you will ever meet and she has a memory like an elephant. Her favorite thing to do is laugh, mostly at herself- a good quality in a person. She also has a cat, Puma, who loves to sleep on your head (and smell armpits). Fondest memories: Being Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween and celebrating her wedding from sunrise to sunrise in Ireland.
Groomsman
Friend, Norfolk Native, Match-maker Billy met Kevin in college while working at Gardens in a Flowerpot. Take the time to get to know him if you can, he is one of our favorite people with stories abound. Time spent as a pilot, gardener, glacier-tour guide, or regular human has given this guy perspicacity. He drops kernels of wisdom like a messy kid at the dinner table drops lima beans to the dog but you will usually just find yourself having a good time. Responsible for the hook-up, I owe him a debt of gratitude. Fondest memories: Killing winters at the Garden shop/Water-walking to avoid killer-crabs in Kitty Hawk/Going out and grabbing a drink or just fries
Bridesmaid
Norfolk Friend and The Best Housemate Gayle and Hannah both went to RISD but missed each other by a year. They met and formed a lasting friendship at the Chrysler Glass Studio where they worked and blew glass together. She lived with Hannah and Billy and is the aunt to their pup, Ziggy. Gayle is as sharp as a tack, witty, and a very loyal friend. She loves gatherings and we are so happy that she could make it to our day of celebration. Gayle is coming all the way from Brazil, where she is developing her practice as an engaging artist on a Fulbright Fellowship. Keep an eye out for this one! Fondest memories: Giving Frodo the dog hair-doos while stuck in traffic, cooking together, and sharing plates (esp when Billy wanted his own all to himself).
Groomsman
High-school Friend, VA Native Billy met Brady so long ago that it is hard to recount the exact meeting. Brady probably was on the right track and doing well in high school; thank goodness Billy met him when he did! What ensued were adventures, good times, and a great friend to have during those awkward years. Better than bread and stickier than jelly, Brady and Billy lived for a time in Norfolk while the two went to college. Brady has a remarkable sense of humor and a heart as big as a schooner. Fondest memories: Smash Bros. Melee with the whole gang/D&D on a table inches deep in wax (fire is the only appropriate lighting for epic battles)/Working at Beijing Gardens
Bridesmaid
Friend, Norfolk Mom, Mentor, Boss, Collaborator Charlotte and Hannah met at Wheaton Arts by chance, went to RISD together, and formed a lasting friendship while at the Chrysler Glass Studio. Charlotte is a Vermont native and now lives there with her husband, Patrik, two adorable children Bowie and Zoran, and two pups Frodo and Kabuya. Charlotte is always seeking creative opportunities to bring others together and make memorable events. She is an an amazing artist and all around talented lady who Hannah loves to work with. As a work pair, they are each other's yin and yang. Fondest Memories: Charlotte leading Hannah down ski path "Organ Grinder" and telling her it was a black diamond an the bottom, picking out Frodo from the shelter, and traveling together to set up art.
Groomsman
College friend, Norfolk Native Billy met Will in martial arts classes at Old Dominion University. Billy beat him handily many times over and over though Will did get the upper hand a few times even though he was already a black belt when Billy started. Yup, that's how it went down. Will is a great friend who keeps a great energy going when he is not falling asleep. With his wife, Adrienne, the two are like a dynamic duo from a comic book; witty, well-balanced, and always at each other's side. With appreciable skills and a good sense of humor the two would be included in our apocalypse-survival team. Fondest memories: Mat time in the dojo/Jumping out of a plane/Badminton matches
