We’re keeping our celebration intimate, so only those listed in your email invitation are invited. We truly appreciate your understanding and support!

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’ve chosen to keep our wedding an adults-only event with the exception of our godchildren. Your understanding and support mean the world!

Where should I stay?

Answer

Wānaka has a range of accommodation options, from hotels to Airbnbs and lakeside lodges. We recommend booking early, as it’s a popular spot!

What’s the best way to get to Wānaka?

Answer

The closest airport is Queenstown Airport (ZQN), about a 1-hour drive from Wānaka. You can rent a car or take a shuttle. If coming from Christchurch, expect a scenic 5-hour drive.

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

There won’t be transportation provided, but guests are welcome to leave their cars at Rippon Hall overnight and collect them the following morning (before 10am). For the trip home after the wedding, you can organise a taxi with Yello or Wana Taxi. We recommend booking in advance, as availability in Wānaka is quite limited, especially late in the evening. What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding is Black-Tie Optional. Formal attire is encouraged! Tuxedos, suits, and long gowns are welcome, and we’d love for guests to wear soft pastel tones to complement the romantic setting.

Will the ceremony/reception be outdoors?

Answer

Yes, part of the event will be outdoors! Keep in mind that the grass may be soft, so stilettos may not be the best choice.

What’s the weather like?

Answer

Wānaka’s weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend bringing a light jacket for the evening.

Are gifts expected?

Answer

Your presence means the world to us, so we are not expecting anything. Should you wish to give, a contribution towards our future together would be warmly appreciated, though there is absolutely no obligation.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’d love for you to be present in the moment, so we’re asking for an unplugged ceremony. Please put your phones away and let the photographer capture the magic!
