Maid of Honor
Avery is my Maid of Honor for more reasons than being my blood related sibling. She has put up with me for 22 years now, and I have no idea how she still handles me (Avery, you'll have to give Shafer tips)! No matter what has happened in life, Avery has always been there for me, and I know without a doubt she always will be. I wouldn't be who I am today without her.
Matron of Honor
Rachel and I have been best friends since sophomore year of high school. She has never faltered as my dearest friend even through my embarrassing high school years, trying college days, and exhausting semesters of teaching. Rachel is a beautiful joy in this world, and I will never ask for a better person to have in my life or by my side at the alter.
Bridesmaid
Peyton and I have been inseparable since sophomore year of college. Her love for life and honesty helped me grow so much into who I am today. Peyton continues to encourage me and is always there no matter the circumstances. I couldn't do this day without her!
Best Man
From day one, Justin has been a spiritual brother for me. We met through both church and work, and I was drawn to Justin’s gift of insight. He always gives the best advice, even if I'm not ready to hear it. He’s helped me through a lot of difficult decisions, and I know he will continue to have my back through the rest of Hannah and mine's life decisions.
Groomsman
When I first met JP, I automatically saw parts of myself in him. He’s been a big motivator when it’s come to me trying to minister to young adults and getting their voices heard. He’s constantly teaching me new things about myself without him even knowing. He’s a true friend that will always tell me exactly what he’s thinking, and that’s just something that has become so rare. I could not have gotten to where I am today if I did not meet this man.
Groomsman
Trevor is someone that has major respect within the creative world in the New Orleans area, and he is someone that I look up to immensely. He is able to balance faith, church, and maintain a creative influence in the secular side of New Orleans. He has, and continues to, mentor me in his ways of balance. I respect him in ways than I could never fully express.
