Things To Do

El Yunque National Forest

El Yunque National Forest

Puerto Rico

El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. One of our favorite places to visit and lounge in the water. About an hour from San Juan. Also, minutes from Luquillo Kiosks and Beach!

Viejo San Juan

Viejo San Juan

San Juan, San Juan 00901, Puerto Rico

The beautiful, vibrant old city of San Juan is known for its history, cobblestone streets, and oceanfront forts. Here there are tons of fun shops, local food, and sight seeing! Some of our favorites include: Anita's Gelato, Cortés ChocoBar, and Bien Papayas (juice and acai bar). Beach nearby: Escambron Beach. Spend the whole day here walking around, touring El Morro whose historic walls still stand at over 400 years old, have dinner at Cannon Club/Jan's Corner - where Hannah worked for one summer ;). Then, finish the night off in Calle San Sebastían where the party goes on all night long. Fun fact: Pele"s family lives in the heart of Old San Juan!

Condado Beach

Condado Beach

San Juan, San Juan 00907, Puerto Rico

Condado Beach/Area - a very easy going, touristy stop with lots to do! There are several different stops/beaches in this area. Lounge on the beach and drink a piña colada or go paddle boarding in the lagoon with the manatees! The photo shown is us at the lagoon next to Condado Plaza Hotel. We enjoy Opa! and Serafina restaurants. For Puerto Rican cuisine, mofongo, tostones, and rice/beans are a must try!

Local Beaches

Local Beaches

Here are a few of our favorite, easy to get to local beaches: Escambron Beach, Ocean Park, and Isla Verde

DISTRITO T-Mobile

DISTRITO T-Mobile

250 Convention Boulevard, San Juan, San Juan 00907, Puerto Rico

Distrito T-Mobile is San Juan's premier entertainment destination - featuring live music, restaurants, bars, a zip line, arcade, and a massive LED dome. There is a Sheraton Hotel across the street with a casino on the first floor. One of our all time favorite Puerto Rican cuisine restaurants is Metropol and it is right across the street, as well.

La Placita de Santurce

La Placita de Santurce

300 Calle dos Hermanos, San Juan, San Juan 00909, Puerto Rico

La Placita de Santurce is a lively hub of food, music, and dancing—where locals and visitors come together to enjoy Puerto Rican culture, especially on warm Caribbean nights. A farmers’ market by day, it transforms into a vibrant party spot after dark. La Placita is known for the best time on Friday nights!

Piñones

Piñones

Piñones, Loíza 00772, Puerto Rico

A staple stop, about 20 minutes from San Juan, famous for its traditional Puerto Rican street food right along the beach. A large variety of pastelillos (fritter), alcapurrias (ground beef/plantain), and pinchos (skewers). One of our favorite places to bring our visiting friends!

Baloncesto Superior Nacional (Pro Basketball League in PR)

Baloncesto Superior Nacional (Pro Basketball League in PR)

Avenida F.D. Roosevelt, San Juan, San Juan 00920, Puerto Rico

For our sports fans, enjoy an intense night at a local professional basketball game! Hannah says intense because there is nothing like the sports fan in the Caribbean. Pele's favorite team is the Cangrejeros de Santurce who have Hassan Whiteside currently. Hannah's favorite team is the Vaqueros de Bayamòn who have Javale McGee, Danillo Gallinari, and Javier Mojica - a personal favorite. This league has seen the talents of Marcus Cousins, David Stockton, Travis Trice, Brendan Knight, Trey Burke & more over the years! See the link for games and times - or text us and we are happy to help!
