Hannah and Patrick’s story began in 2011 with three commonalities. 1. They needed to complete required volunteer hours for school. 2. They were considering future careers in pharmacy. 3. Their moms worked at the same hospital. And so, the foundation was set for a chance meeting. Wearing their matching light blue Lourdes Hospital Volunteer polos, they met in the hospital pharmacy in July of 2011. Patrick was in love, essentially on the spot, and Hannah truly had no idea. Hannah was heading into her senior year at Binghamton High School and, little did she know, she was about to experience the most important history class of her long academic career. Of course, her teacher was a guy named Mr. Norris. Upon returning home after school each day, Mr. Norris would be enthusiastically greeted by his son, basketball in hand. Patrick could care less about the details of his Dad’s day, his only concern was making sure that his fellow pharmacy volunteer was still alive and well and was planning to keep her volunteer hours throughout the fall. It only took about 3 months, but Patrick finally gathered up the courage to ask for Hannah’s number. By that time, he had impressed her with an endless flurry of jokes and charm (that still exists in full force to this day), and shortly after they became “Facebook Official” in late October of 2011. Since that day, their lives have been beautifully intertwined as they have navigated the joys and challenges of young adulthood. They overcame years of long-distance relationship meet-ups in bustling American cities like Erie, PA and South Bend, IN. They have supported each other wholeheartedly through medical school and a college basketball coaching journey. They’ve raised two wonderful cats (Marley & Luna), and although Hannah remains a bit surprised at the enthusiasm, she has no regrets that she facilitated Patrick’s development into becoming THE ultimate Helicopter-Cat-Dad. They have supported each other through the best of times and the toughest of times, and for nearly half of their lives. They are so thrilled to be able to share a celebration of their love with so many of their friends and family in beautiful Auburn, NY. Those two future pharmacists wouldn’t believe their eyes if they could go back in time and know that the light blue polos would give way to a wedding dress and tuxedo. Here’s to the beginning of a wonderful marriage. Thank you and we love you all!!!
