Travel Note
For those traveling from up North by vehicle, you will pass through the CBBT, a 17.6 mile long bridge tunnel. While the bridge portion is two lane same way traffic, there are two separate, two way traffic tunnels, each about a mile long. If you are weary of completing this drive across the Chesapeake Bay, there is a service that will drive your vehicle across the bridge for you. Visit the link to get more information. Hannah has traveled across this bridge tunnel hundreds of times to access the Eastern Shore and to travel to Connecticut with Kyle with no issue. There are other ways to get to Virginia Beach, but will be difficult to avoid ALL the tunnels in our area and will add time to your car travel if sticking to the mainland routes, plan accordingly!
