What should I wear?

Answer

Attire is semi-formal or dressy casual. All events will take place in one building and there will be coat racks at the venue if the weather requires a coat to be worn.

What if it is raining?

Answer

Good news! All of our wedding events are indoor and are all in the same building. Once you enter, you'll be safe from the rain. There will be coat racks for your coats and umbrellas.

What time do the doors open?

Answer

Doors will open for the ceremony at 3pm. If you arrive early, there are other buildings at Carlos Creek (the Tasting Room and the Brewery) that will be open.

How long will it take to drive to Alexandria?

Answer

It should take about 2.5 hours to get from the Twin Cities to Carlos Creek. Check your favorite map app to see exactly how long it will take from where you are located. Carlos Creek is about 20 minutes north from the Alexandria exit on Interstate 94.

How do I get to Carlos Creek?

Answer

From Interstate 94, exit at Alexandria and follow Hwy 29 north through town (it jogs on the north end of town, so follow the signs!). Shortly after you follow the jog on Hwy 29, turn left onto N Nokomis St NE. Follow the road as it weaves between the lakes and you'll see Carlos Creek on the right after you pass the lakes. Otherwise, your GPS should take you right to 6693 County Road 34 NW, Alexandria.

What should I do with my gift or card?

Answer

You can bring gifts and cards into the venue when you arrive; there will be a table where you can leave them.

Is there a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes, we have a room block at Arrowwood. Check out the Travel page on this website for more information. There are other hotels in Alexandria that you could also look into like the Fairfield Inn and Hampton Inn.

Will there be a shuttle for the wedding?

Answer

Yes, Mobile Shenanigans will be providing a shuttle between Carlos Creek and Arrowwood on the day of the wedding. Check out the Travel page on this website for more information.

Can we take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We would love for you to take pictures throughout the day (and to share them with us at kevinandhannahhermann@gmail.com), but we ask that you put your phone away for the ceremony and let our photographer work her magic!
