Jordan and Hannah met at Hagerstown Community College (HCC) in 2015. They knew of each other through mutual friends, but didn’t actually get to know one another until her second semester there (Spring 2016). Hannah would always eye him up in the Learning Support Center, as he did with her. Eventually she got enough courage to follow and message him on Instagram. They began chatting over social media, as well as in the LSC. The more they talked, the better of friends they became. After HCC, they parted ways to earn their Bachelor’s Degrees - him to Penn State Harrisburg and her to Frostburg State at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown. They remained in contact over Facebook and eventually she traveled to Penn to visit him. That’s the day she knew he was her forever. They officially started dating on October 7, 2017 and have been inseperable since!
Jordan kept his proposal plans a secret for MONTHS - which had to have been extremely difficult with her, haha. He snuck her away the night before her birthday to a hotel to get away from her parents’ house. The next morning, he drove them to a spa and had a massage scheduled for her. The rest of the day he drove her around and occupied her while her family got the house ready for her surprise 21st birthday party. They went to the Hagerstown Donut Drop where her dad’s band played and where her Grandma Sandy and Papa Jerry from Ohio surprised her. After that, they celebrated her birthday with a drink with her dad at a local bar. Jordan then drove them to her parents’ house, where she was majorly surprised with a house full of their family and friends! She thought that was the last surprise, even though Jordan had more in store. After the ball dropped to ring in the New Year, Jordan led everyone outside onto the deck for an AMAZING firework show. Everyone was ready for the grand finale, when a large sign with the words “Will You Marry Me?” lit up in the yard. Hannah was thrown off at first and even asked who it was for, LOL. Then she turned around to Jordan on one knee with a gorgeous ring - it was an incredible night!
