Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA)
A great spot to escape the heat and enjoy incredible art—for free. Jameson and I have enjoyed many dates here. There’s always something new to see, and it’s a perfect spot for a picnic.
Carytown
Carytown is a lively, walkable district along Cary Street filled with shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Some of our favorite places to eat include The Daily, Greek on Cary, and Mom’s Siam. For shopping and entertainment, we recommend Ashby, Buffalo Exchange, World of Mirth, and The Byrd Theatre.
Maymont
Maymont is a beautiful park perfect for strolling, soaking up the sunshine, and admiring the gardens. Jameson and I have shared many special dates here and even took our engagement photos here!
The Fan District
The Fan is the heart of Richmond and we love exploring the many charming avenues, beautiful homes, and unique restaurants. Some highlights for us have been Joe's Inn, Nate's Bagels, Blanchard's Coffee, and Idle Hand's Bakery.
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
Hannah and I love strolling these idyllic gardens. Some of our favorite spots on the grounds include the Butterfly Sanctuary, Tree House, and Japanese Garden.
