Man of Honor
Origin story: Always vaguely knew of each other growing up at CAC and PV. Became besties after college when we both went back to Little Rock and had no friends. Pros: When he said he was moving to NWA he let me come with him and be his roommate. Cons: Flight risk. Always threatening to move to random places.
Best Man
Origin story: Met through youth group in middle school been best friends ever since. Pros: Always down to watch a sporting event or have a game night. Makes very cute kids. Cons: Always "right" and doesn't ever "lose."
Bridesmaid
Origin story: Met at Harding Honors Symposium and I asked her to be my roommate. She stuck with me all 4 years. Pros: The silliest of the gals. Cons: Moved back to Tennessee after college.
Groomsman
Origin story: Sophomore year American History class and spent every weekend together the rest of high school. Pros: On top of being a doctor, he's also a professional American Ninja Warrior. Cons: Lives very far away. Not an actual ninja.
Bridesmaid
Origin story: Both scared to leave Elissa's side at any college function during freshman year. Then she read my social work textbook one day and never turned back. Pros: Brilliant, witty, and funny, which helped us both make it through Harding social work program. Cons: Doesn't tell friends of major life events until months later. Also moved back to Tennessee after college.
Officiant
Origin story: Married the best man. Pros: Great listener and even better host for aforementioned sporting events and game nights. Makes very cute kids. Cons: Immediately started crying when we asked her to officiate and will likely be "weepy" during the ceremony.
Flower Girl
Origin story: She was born and met Isaac. Then approximately 3 1/2 years later met Hannah who instantly became more popular than Isaac. Pros: Perfect in every way. Cons: Asked to wear a rainbow dress for her flower girl duties.
Ring Bearer
Origin story: Basically known us his whole life. Pros: Has mastered clapping and flirting at a very young age. Cons: Never actually agreed to be our ring bearer.
