Isaac and I had our first date on April 3, 2023 and we pretty much became inseparable from then on. I probably had the best 24 hours of my life seeing Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour the night before with my Man of Honor, Caleb. The entire weekend I was texting Isaac and trying not to get my hopes up about a first date again. As soon as Caleb and I got home from Dallas, I got ready for my date with Isaac. Isaac thought the first hug was awkward and I didn't like the shirt he was wearing but we talked for hours. That week alone I think we had 4 dates and a 6 hour phone call one night. I said I wanted to take things slow but that just wasn't in the cards for us. We are more "head over heels" kind of people anyway. Isaac and I just wanted to be around each other all the time. I think Isaac knew I was the one when he asked me who my favorite Office character was and I said Creed. I think I knew he was the one when we went to the tulip farm less than a week after our first date and I couldn't believe that he wasn't tired of hanging out with me. About a week or two after we met, I asked Isaac if he had a song that reminded him of me. (I had already told him Begin Again by Taylor Swift was my song for him.) He played me the song, "And I Love Her," by Passenger, very careful not to say the title of the song because we thought it was too early to say I love you yet. As he played me that song in the car leaving brunch, I began crying thinking that no one had ever loved me this much and he hadn't even said the words yet. Even so early on, I knew Isaac would do anything for me, rain or shine and he's been my rock ever since then.
Hannah and I matched on Hinge, I immediately knew that she was someone special. I was a little bummed to find out that she was out of town for the weekend and we would have to wait until after she got back in town for our first date. We texted a lot over that first weekend and I was pretty excited when Monday April 3rd rolled around. I got to our date early and sat in the car for about 20 minutes calming my nerves. When Hannah walked in the door, and I saw her beautiful smile, those nerves vanished. We instantly connected and it was like talking to an old friend. We went on several dates that first week and I couldn’t believe how lucky I was that this gorgeous, intelligent, and funny woman would want to spend time with me. We have lived a lot of life together in the time we have been together and I can’t wait for the adventures that await us in the future.
